It's 2022 this is the first time viewing this and it captured my soul. Much respect to the ladies and on another note the gentleman that removed his hat in respect to the Lord is, for me, an outstanding citizen and a model of what an American is.

This gave me chills. I am proud to be part Choctaw and part Cherokee. We have a great heritage and this is a much better way to show who we are in a beautiful peaceful way rather than rioting and demanding stuff from the govt.

My cousin Charlene taught us younger cousins this prayer same thing. This was done so beautifully. I got goosebumps. Now I want to relearn the prayer. Ty for this post.

I dk if they learned a language or just the movements of this song, which is more realistic. There is no mention of them actually being fluent in the language. This is clickbait.

Did you ever learn it? I have a copy of Jesus Loves me in Cherokee. I have a tape also of Cherokee hymns. My Tuscarora Grandfather was adopted by a Cherokee family in Western North Carolina.

The word for bread and day and a few other things is the same in Native American sign language as it is in regular American Sign Language (ASL) that I know some of. It was pretty cool seeing that. Some of the words did look a little different, it looks a lot more lyrical and dance like overall. Very beautiful and thank you for sharing. 🙏

Thank you for sharing this. I see about 5 or 6 signs that are similar to American Sign Language. It is so interesting to see how other concepts are signed. She did a great job.

It breaks my heart to see them appeal to the ones who conquered them. Their ideals of life are/have been so much more conducive to balance of life on this planet, and that we belong to it, earth does not belong to us humans. I don't see this as the 'good' thing that others do. This goes backwards.

Pawnee were one of the tribes that performed human sacrifice. The last sacrifice was reported to be a young Lakota girl in the mid 1800s.

@@krutledge5797 Yes! God gave us the Savior of the world through the Jewish people who are several shades of brown; from olive to the darkest brown skinned people of the Middle East. (Some of the disciples were also other nationalities.) And of course Jesus was a Jew born in Bethlehem. That is where Christianity started!

I am Native American and we always believed in the One True God in Heaven. Some elders refer to him as the Great Spirit which of course he is.
