As we've already covered, Halo Reach has some of the deepest armor customization in general, but what it took the Elite Armor to the next level. Now, not only are there a variety of separate Elite armors, but ALL of them denote ranks held by Elites within the Covenant, and as such, the Lore behind ALL the Halo Reach Elite Armor is exceptionally juicy. Not to mention countless convinent vehicles and other convinent species ( drones, grunts, jackals, brutes, and hunters ). I would say 85 % of 1v1 fights between noble 6 and the most OP elites noble 6 would win. The only elites I think noble 6 would be outmatched against is the arbiter ( thel vadam ), Rtas Vadum, and Bero Crucify.

This is what was so great about Reach. Aside from the new vehicles, weapons, and overall best multiplayer (imo), we finally got to see different rankings in the elite army. And to top it all off, when you wanted to play as an elite in multiplayer, you got to choose which rank you wanted to play as. Instead of just a minor like all the other Halos. It’d be really cool if in the new Reach added to MCC, we could mix and match armor pieces from each elite rank to really be able to customize elite armor (along with already our spartan armor customization).

Well in 3 you could play as other classes than minors like commandos, but Reach had the best elite customization system in the series so far with the large amount of ranks, even if it pales in comparison to Spartan customization.

@@JBrotsis1 I really don't understand how you can say that. So many weapons are weak and nearly useless (especially the assault rifle and plasma repeater). Friendly AI do almost no damage to enemies. Concussion rifle elites deal insanely dumb amounts of damage. I like Halo: Reach, but I can't stand playing the campaign without a mod installed, and for me Reach PVP is only fun because of the vehicles.

@@andyfriederichsen different strokes for different folks. I gravitated to the campaign when it came out and fell in love with the multiplayer because of it. It’s still the only installment I play in MCC. And yes, the vehicles in Reach are also the best versions. I also love playing Invasion and as that’s only in Reach, it’s one of the primary reasons I put Reach so high.

Honestly, I think Reach had the best armor designs for the Covenant in the entire series. Yes, the Elite armors could get a little crazy, but they stood out and had an almost religious flare to their design. Seeing Halo 2 Anniversary go back to the cut-n-paste elite armors of Halo 2 and 3 kind of bummed me out, because I would've loved to see Rtas' in Reach's Ultra armor, or maybe even dressed in General or Field Marshal gear.

It would be interesting to see the story of the Field Marshal from Reach expanded upon. He was likely a subordinate of Fleetmaster 'Barutamee assigned to hunting Forerunner artifacts, and he presumably fought Noble Team on several occasions. To me it seems like a very interesting Sangheili story which could give a good view into their culture and how they fight

The lore behind Bob the golden elite was from halo 2 trigate easter egg. It's a bit confusing but hear me out. When you did the trigate easter egg in halo 2 which only a handful of people managed to achieve, bob would come out and into real life. There was sightings of him buy copies if halo reach. He later implemented himself into the game via cloud downloading and that's why hes in the game.

The Ultras In reach are oddly very weirdly characterized, All the Ultras in the other games were the next rank After Majors and were extremely senior Elites who not only led Large Ground Forces but Also were senior enough to become shipmasters and Lead Smaller ships like light cruisers and Corvettes , before the Generals on the reach were encountered, the Ultras were thought by the UNSC to be the highest rank an elite in the infantry could get .

The Warthog is just a Jeep with 3barrel .50 i assume the Steel plating itself is very advanced but the open seats nullifies it

@@thorshammer7883 Who knows the chemical propellant that makeup for those 90mm shells, it's not the size that matter but what you do with it. Also when you compare the barrel length between the M808s to the M1A1/2s. The muzzle velocity puts the Abrams to shame. With the Scorpions size & wider profile, it can fit more firepower & can traverse all colonies planets with ease, it is design for rapid deployment after all, going from planet to another. It is modulated for quick depot or field repairs as well, one of the amrour packages we know so far in lore is titanium ceramic. The UNSC must of chose that for superior heat protection against plasma bolts from the Covenant.

This gives so much greater context to the different elites you fight in Reach. It’s still amazing how game like that 9 years still is communicating small lore through the campaign missions.
