Y’all are my favorite reaction channel on YT because you never fail to make me smile, such a wholesome and positive channels are very few and far between! It’s because of you, I’ve found numerous more *interesting* topics other than Dark Souls content. I am utterly and truly blessed to have came upon this channel while watching ER Max0r reactions lol

The people at Fromsoftware really are genius game designers. Imagine learning about the legacy of glintstone sorcery and how it ties in with the complex world of the lands between. Then imagine how special it feels when you actually find the founding primeval sorcery yourself!

I recommend you two watch The Tarnished Archaeologists. Vaati is great for newcomers to the lore, but it’s surface level compared to what those guys get into. The amount of detail they’re able to point out is insane.

I don't know if Marika split herself specifically to marry into Carian royalty but Marika definitely did use her split self to her advantage there. I think that Marika would have wanted to do this regardless. I don't know if the reference to the Magnum Opus has anything to do with Marika's intentions or what but it's clear that Radagon is the "Red King" and Marika is the "White Queen. The Red King and White Queen are alchemical allegories, and their union represents the process of uniting opposites to create a greater, fully unified product of that union.

Perhaps she didn’t do it for this specific purpose but still genius of her to take advantage of it 😏

While we meet Renalla in game and can talk to her, she's not exactly sane by that point, deluding herself into her fantasies and ignoring the outside world completely to escape having to cope with everything, from Radagon abandoning her to Radahn and Rykard leaving, Ranni's death, and then finally the academy's betrayal. In fact, we don't even know if she's aware that Ranni didn't actually die, and Renalla's obsession with children makes me think she probably doesn't. So we can only speculate what type of person she used to be, but I do feel like she's painted in a positive light. We know for a fact that Renalla was incredibly loving to her family, Caria is clearly one of the more open-minded and accepting factions in the Lands Between, and most of the immoral delicious made by the Academy were specifically pointed out as having happened before and after her reign, rather than during it. Of course there is some bad too, but compared to someone like Marika, Renalla almost looks like a saint. Besides, genes do tell a lot too, and while Rykard went absurdly crazy, Ranni has a very concerning criminal record and Radahn was a warmonger, all 3 of them were clearly very beloved by those under them. The last two in particular showing a lot of kindness, with Ranni's most loyal servants going as far considering her family and Radahn's seeing him as their best friend. That's got to mean something about their mother. Then again, Miquella and Malenia aren't that different when it comes to showing kindness and having loving and loyal servants, so maybe it's Radagon's credit. He's always been shown as the good cop of the Marika/Radahon relationship after all, and just looking at how "kind" (or rather, how much they're not) Mohg and Morgott are makes it pretty clear he has SOME credit over the Emperyan twins being how they are. I mean, we all love to joke about Radagon being a rude bastard, but that's more just a community meme, the game portrays him more as a wise, fair and righteous man with unshakable conviction and loyalty, but bound by the skeletons in his closet (those being Marika and Elden Beast), and is vague on how willing he was to do the things he did, or how moral his motives were.

If Astel is a malformed star, than a non-malformed star would be an Elden beast? And the reason for all the star beasts is because there is a high chance of turning misinformed thru the primeevil current?

Elden Ring could definitely stand as a lesson of great fantasy worldbuilding, there's just so much knowing the truth of it all is difficult. Like real life. The star mages in the game really are influential. Their buildings are everywhere alongside their magic, and they are very powerful. Even in the lands of gold, whose occupants tried to invade the mages. I was a little taken back by their use of failed sorcerers as miners, I hadn't connected that. Raya Lucaria kept the Albanaurics around (maybe even made), made the marionettes and possibly more of the artificial life and machines around the game. If this is all true, it seems the stargazers care less about uninteresting humans, then they do interesting non-humans.

FromSoftware really nailed magic in Elden Ring. Magic really was underwhelming in their previous games (especially DS3) but the sheer variety and spectacle of the spells and sorceries is just astounding. I’ve rarely had as much fun playing a mage as I have in this game! And the history and lore is just as dense and as enigmatic as you expect it to be; it’s just all so fantastic.
@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Жыл бұрын
When playing this we would for sure go for the mage build because it looks like a lot of fun 🤩

Hey guys! I don’t want to sound rude nor do I want my comment to sound like I wish to incite drama nor is the intent of this comment malicious. However, I do want to let you know that there is currently a widely known issue with reaction channels in KZbin regarding fair use, content theft, freebooting, etc. This move has only grown further due to big content creators such as SSSniperWolf and XQC being involved. Just wanted to let you know because this is a serious issue, and while I genuinely believe that you guys are the best when it comes to reaction content, the last thing I’d want is for you guys to get in trouble. You guys always credit the original creators of the videos you watch, and you give *immense* insight and commentary, which is GREAT! However, given the circumstances, just wanted to pass on the word so you guys are kept safe from this KZbin drama. Much love and take care. 💙
