It would also be interesting to hear what they would sound like in other genres of music, Not to mention that Pearl made a promise that they’d never break up, no letter what. It wouldn’t be in character for her to turn and break that promise. Plus, I don’t think I don’t I could let go of Off the Hook yet anyway, it feels so hard and almost too much to bare, especially with all those amazing things they’ve presented us with in the game, I was just trying to be open-‘minded Fun fact, their voice actors actually did a collab song called ‘This Is How We Do’ and I think it would fit perfectly in the game as it has a chaotic and fun vibe.

@Jonathan Kasulke Yeah, because the main purpose of them being tin the game is they’re replacing and filling in for the Squid Sisters when Callie went missing and Marie was struggling and trying to rescue her, Off the Hook’s situation isn’t exactly like the Squid Sisters’, where they were working on other stuff which meant they were separate from each other which was what caused them to slowly drift apart and Off the Hook don’t seem to be showing any signs of separating or drifting apart, they haven’t mentioned or hinted at anything, so I reckon that they’re continuing, I believe they were even talking about touring, so it would make sense for them to also show up in Splatsville, it could also be like a “reminder of home” a reminder of Inkopolis, our inkling’s/octoling’s original home I personally think it would it would also be somewhat lazy it Nintendo just pulled the “Team wins splatfest, idol on opposite team gets squidnapped and/or turns evil” thing again. Just because the final splatfests seem to affect the story, it shouldn’t mean that they should do the same plot over and over again, because I’m kind of concerned that that’s what it’s going to be like and don’t get me wrong, that would be cool, but I just think there may be other ways that they could incorporate the theme into the story or even just the game

I'm sure Paruko is a pun on PARCO, which is Japanese department stores that caters towards a young, hip crowd. Shibuya PARCO is know as the place of official Nintendo store in Japan and the appearance of shops is also similar to Splatoon3's Hotlantis.

In terms of Splatoon 1 itself, it felt like the main thing the developers wanted for this game was a sound that was…unorganized and rampant. Going for a sound that feels inspired by bands from the 90s, since many went for very unclean and heavy riffs, often just letting loose with little care. For me, this style was a great way to introduce this series, and gave it an edge in its very upbeat and grunge sort of sound it went for. Though…I do have some thoughts on Splatoon 2’s music, and I’ll put that in the second video.

here’s an idea: chirpy chips is based off of gorillaz a bubbly guitar player (noiji) is on good terms with a much quieter green bass player (raian) and the drummer is a tall protective guardian (shikaku). the last member likes to play on less memorable instruments like synths or maybe melodicas and is the frontman, in charge of the visual of the band (paruko) paruko lore: “shes described as singing in a low energy way although her voice gets more energetic in her newer songs.” comparing the way 2D sings in clint eastwood to tranz, he gets much more energetic over time, just like paruko. shikaku lore: “he blows a fuse, gets crabby.” russel tends to act similar, especially when he gets woken up from a nap.

Hightide Era was my favorite band from Splatoon 1 and the reason I found out about Splatoon band lore in the first place haha. Clownfish irl can get hurt/ killed if they don't clean themselves regulary with the sea anemone they live in. Normally the poisen that the anemone has doesn't affect them but it can happen from time to time. So i assume (if i look too deep into it) that (if the clownsfish is as sentient as you said) the relationship ended up being toxic due to both of them not interacting enough and them just drifting away emotionally& as said in the official work being neglectful. But because clownfish usually don't change homes they stayed with her even if it kills them. While she doesn't care.
