there are characters in Splatoon that aren't kids and show all the time, Like Captain Cuttlefish himself. The guy is literally an old man. The Squid Sisters(and also some of the other Idols) are implied to be adults too.

Here's some interesting things I found while looking around Lemuria hub: The station genuinely connects to the Deepsea metro, at the bottom right corner of the main surface lines map is the map used by Agent 8 from Octo-exp revealing routes like B09 and even the central station itself. The station seems to have its own theater as shown on the first floor on the side advertising the theater plays. There's an ad for what seems to be dentistry on the side of the map revealing the Splatlands. There looks to be a quite noticeable area for people to eat there food from the food-court and even little viewing rooms under Lemuria's turf-war map grounds. The map by Lemuria's exit has two styles, one showing a blown out view of all the floors in Lemuria Station (similar to the Splatlands multi-tiered map by the lobby tower) and one showing the first floor which (unlike the one in the Splatlands hub world) actually is accurate. And the bus route maps and time sign/pillar things outside the station are rough replicas of the genuine bus route maps seen at the outside covered terminal at Kyoto Station. (I believe their for JR routes but I'm not sure and would love to know if its something different) There is most likely a lot more stuff yet to be shown but that was just the things I found interesting.

That beta design for tartars boss battle doesn't seem THAT creepy and unsettling until you actually visualize it in 3d and how the teeth and eye would and especially those sausage arms would be moving around.

Personally, the way I see it is that octolings develop the same way as inklings but there may be an extremely rare chance of cut tentacles also developing into octolings (kinda like a starfish but different). I don't really have any evidence, it's just a headcannon but I guess you could say it's because the ones with more tentacles are smarter but I don't know if that would allow them to become an octoling, or just be a regular octarian with 8 tentacles.

I don’t think octoling parents proves octolings reproduce the same way. Hypothetically if pearl and marina had a kid cause marina cut off a tentacle, both girls would be the parents even if only one of the is biologically related to them.

I like 4 being the strongest because it gives her something. 3 is the original. 8 is in the best story mode and first playable octoling. And NEO is the new kid. Give 4 the title of strongest agent at the very least.
