I’m a beginner in leathercraft and been practicing on some chrome tan. I’ve learned more in this video than hours of other videos. The pin vise awl is genius. Truly a masterclass!

Very educational! Thanks, I love learning the reason behind techniques which makes your videos “nutrient dense.” Curious though, what’s the reason for covering the buckle in leather?

Aesthetics mainly. It allows you to have a strong buckle that also matches the belt in colour. It's also an interesting way of showing off your craft, as very few leather crafters can pull it off successfully.
