The splicing tape trick is, a roll of splicing tape in a tape dispenser, cut it off with the razor blade and tag the tape to the edge of the blade - then using the blade with a strip stuck to it, place it in the edit block slot (much easier to position) and press it in as you peel the end off the blade. (This from a decade of tape editing in the 70's). Nice work!

hi have the same model i just like to say this is great to have because i can get under the deck like you are doing i was lucky to find one in the uk the deck was sold to me with alot of plus parts like more rollers and head blocks 1/2 1/4 and 4 track 1/4 play back head my deck don't record any more the coil that doe's the bio over heated i had the same in my teac 80-0 i was lucky someone had a spare part please never leave deck on all the time a tec told me note the lamp in the button go bad i put all new lamp in i was uning it alot i still use it for 1/2 tapes

@@mikebozik but you can. All you gotta do is tape it back up. When I first started I made a ton of mistakes. My first single “feelin free” has an edit during the 2nd verse. I threw the original away in the trash. Then I decided to go back to the original and dug it out of the trash and taped it back on the master!!! lol good times…
