@Don't Make The Black Kids Angry the fact that allot of movies these days suck has nothing to do with politics and everything to do with studios not wanting to take risks and doing the same formula over and over again as well as interfering with filmmakers and end up ruining their movies .

I was born in 89' and even though I wasn't given the honors in being raised through the 80s...I still feel as if the 80s essence and vibe run through my veins. I am proudly happy to say that I represent the last generation of the 80s all the way till my last day. I really would have liked to have growned up in the 80s as a teen. Lots of fun and "freedom".

The 80’s was a perfect decade. Glad to have been able to live through the entire decade. It was awesome. We were blessed with so many masterpieces from this decade. All the movies and music that came out if it are still leaving imprints on today’s generation and will on the future generations I’m sure.

I was 10 in 1987 and I remember me and my bro getting this film and other films from the video shop at the time, which I loved going in and seeing all the films you could rent out....there's nothing like that feeling!! Now you can buy it in a second... kinda not the same anymore! As getting a video tape from the video shop and the trip there to get it was great in itself etc... it was exciting as a kid.... same with music albums. ......Although I love it now getting music I waited 20 years to find in a second.... but there was something magical about that time!! Things seem to have more meaning and you also appreciated the artwork of a video or album you could hold in your hand not on a comp etc. most kids will never understand any of this stuff today! Yes I know sound like an old fart LOL!!

+oomoonbeam I share that feeling going to the video store browsing the shelves, sometimes the movie you want is out, you either come back another time or have it reserved. The only part I didn't like about renting was having to return it, getting the late fees a few times. And remember, "Please be kind and rewind!". Now everything is watchable online. You can even just watch your favorite scenes here on youtube.

Age 38 I bought it on dvd was bit disappointed but glad i got to see it at last!...Even though its took over 20 years to get it!.. so still looking online for all the other films i never got to see back them LOL

As a kid, this was my favorite movie, and it still may be my favorite movie of all time, definitely in my top 3. The music was perfect, and I like how they made Michael look like Jim Morrison and used People Are Strange as the theme song, and let's not forget about how sexy Star (Jami Gertz) is. This movie is an absolute classic.

Everyone considers David the villain in this movie but I believe David actually liked Michael. He liked him enough he wanted him to be one of his own brothers. They could’ve killed him that night in the cave but they didn’t.

Max wanted Michael into the family as he wanted lucy and she wouldn't refuse if he joined. Star was David's first bite (I assume the first time Star ditched Michael) and second time tricking him into the gang and I think that's Max's blood they are drinking since vampires have a pyramid scheme since Michael didn't become normal when David died. Love this film, got a replica leather jacket of dwaynes with the leopard on it

Great film. Actually very well made. I love the use of superimposing shots montage after he drinks the blood. Those visuals combined with music is just one of many examples that a lot of care was taken in the making of this movie to give a very stylish and atmospheric mood. Joel Schumacher was a really good director. It’s just too bad he’s often associated with the terrible Batman movies he made.

The transition to Morrison's iconic image implied three things. 1. Micheal's fate was sealed 2. Jim Morrison was a vampire. 3. Morrison and Michael were both tricked by the devil's deception which led to their demise.

I love this movie, and had the pleasure and honor of getting to watch some of it being filmed. It ends on a far different note than it begins. The beginning is so dark and mysterious. I wonder if the TV show, Forever Knight got some of its cinematography ideas from this?
