One of the guests on Joe Rogan said that Amazon Rainforest is as big as continental India and that it's mostly unexplored. And that one time, an European explorer who went first through the jungle reported rich civilisations living there. Years later when more explorers returned, they couldn't find anything. So they claimed he made it up. But it seems he didn't. Because we keep finding mysterious structures in the jungle. The theory is that the early explorers brought European pathogens with them, and all the natives died out from the following pandemic. That's horrifying. But not unlikely. Similar thing happaned to the natives up north.
@HVLLOW992 жыл бұрын
I think that’s exactly what happened however if the native built stone structures they are still there even if the people died. Francisco de Orellana is the Spanish conquistadors who first ventured into the Amazon basin discovering many cities in the 1540’s. His accounts are what fuel the theories of civilizations lost in the rain forest. I believe one day soon we will find them including Z.

The interesting part of this story is not knowing. These men believed in what they were doing; they felt their search would lead to a better view of a people thought as primitive. The forests of south America could have hidden anything. I think the explorers would see what they sought being a reality with enthusiasm. It could be the unknown civilization. But, if it isn't, it could point to an unknown civilization that could be a part of it. This story should be a source of inspiration.

It’s crazy to think that there’s so much jungle down in South America that we haven’t explored all of it and that there could be huge cities somewhere under all that bush. There are a few issues with the claims made in this video regarding the scientific method and logic. First and most obviously is the issue of Occam's Razor. The nonsuccess of Fawcett and search groups, as well as their nonrecognition for discovering anything verifiable, support the common outcome of Occam's Razor: for the claims in this video and the beliefs of Fawcett to be true, thousands of assumptions must first be made, many of which are verifiably false. Next is the issue of false authority. This story uses a sense of trust in authority to heighten viewers' likelihood to believe the claims. By saying things like Fawcett's letters are documented in the Royal Library and the Royal Geographic Society gave him funding, we are inclined to believe the search for "Z" was worth the time and money of very official groups - groups which we have no idea where they truly stand on real life topics. Finally, we must use our own logic when listening to this story. As another commenter asked, "How was he sending all these letters from his wilderness expedition?" As with many other stories produced by pseudoanthropologists, there is a reason that this expedition and potential discovery is not widely known. If Fawcett or other truly had visited or even built Z, it would be very very big news. Further, the title of this video claims to connect Z with Atlantis, which doesn't occur in the storytelling, suggesting that other claims as well are simply to draw as many eyes as possible. Lastly, look at who is funding this storytelling. Visiting the site of Ka Gold Jewelry tells us that the sponsor of this project openly supports ideas of alternative history and spiritual influence on others. This is your reminder to always research critically, as that is the process of the scientific method.

Great movie. Thank you. The beginning of this film saddened me as it was set in occupied Ireland…. it would be another 16 years before Ireland dramatically gained its freedom from oppression and tyranny. The film, based on a true story, makes no reference to the poor, dispossessed, indigenous people of Ireland, but simply presents the glorious and opulent lifestyle of the occupying military forces and their settler compatriots. Interesting to see how magnanimous Fawcett was portrayed towards the indigenous people in South America. He had a great respect for their history and heritage. Such a shame that he didn’t see the evidence of the ancient civilisation in Ireland and display a similar respect.

Don't you mean eastern Bolivia or western Brazil? The narrator of this video says Zed was supposed to be in eastern Brazil, but that is not where Fawcett thought it was... he concentrated his efforts in eastern Bolivia and western Brazil.

Where in Plato's description of Atlantis was all the advanced technology mentioned?? Besides the reddish gold metal (forgot the name but has been found in shipwreck proving the metal was real) which modern arrogant people believed was almost impossible to be produced at that time, theres no mention.

Advanced for that time in history, atlantis was around 12000 years ago, that predates known history by 6000 years, we were only meant to have invented agriculture 10,000 years ago, let alone live in massive walled cities with ships etc 2000 years prior to agriculture being invented.

it's like a biringan city in the Philippines "the lost city" "enchanted city" . it's also connect to Atlantis and now the city of Z .. world is full of mysterious things that even scientist cannot explain

Great channel, but this is highly inaccurate. Manuscript 512 relates to a lost civilization up the northeast of Brazil, in the state of Bahia, thousands of miles away from the Amazon jungle. Fawcett was meant to look for the city written on 512 after he explored the lost city of Z which are two different things.

They've probably heard about what usually happens when we show up anywhere new to us and are hiding and praying to their gods that we never find them
