The Lost City Trek Colombia - An EPIC 4 Days in the Jungle! (La Ciudad Perdida)

WE SURVIVED!! For 4 days and 3 nights we Trekked through the depths of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta Jungle in the hope of finding the ancient city La Ciudad Perdida, also known as The Lost City.
The Lost City Trek Colombia also know as Ciudad Perdida Trek is one of the best things to do in Colombia and a popular Colombian attraction.
Trekking in Colombia is not for the faint hearted! When Hiking the Lost City we faced HUGE challenges: Intense heat, steep uphill and downhill climbs, river crossings and more, so reaching the city and Exploring Colombia's Lost City was a HUGE achievement! Along our Multiday trek in Colombia we had the privilege of meeting Indigenous tribes in Sierra Nevada which was a huge highlight.
This Trek was our FIRST in Colombia and on our 7 Month South America trip, so it definitely came with some learnings!

Yes there are. I don’t think so to be honest! I’d do 4 if I did it again

Hi! Since January 2023, the 5-day trek is a bit longer and there's a detour passing by the Waterfall trail - a new section. It depends on how much time you have, but you might enjoy it a lot! Feel free to contact us

There are at the camps - and on some days you’ll pass through a camp that you won’t sleep at. Beyond this it’s bush wee 😅
