Nice lick Weckl is the originator of this type of style lick back in the early 80s Everybody after followed suit including gospel chops There’s many great drummers with unbelievable skills but Weckl is the best if you ask me not for skills only but his creation of how we play today and how his natural feel and how his melodic playing inspired the drum world for decades now He’s like the next Buddy Rich in modern times But I will say nobody was or is today in Buddy’s league No such animal

I'm sure Dave hasn't forgot this lost lick as he has more licks he has developed especially with what he does with the splash cymbal he has ducted tape on the floor tom on his left side. Please watch the live concert he does with Chick Corea Live in Malta. An amazing show.... R.I.P Chick
