Thanks! I would agree with that assessment.

I like Friday... easier to manage the table. In this I dont like how you add resources to your party by adding the card... it may represent multiple resources, right? If thats true, then you have to remember which one applies when you need it... but that can be several cards later into the game. Seems clumsy but overall the game looks interesting; just a but more going on than Friday. I also like Friday because theres an actual scoring phase at the end. Even if you lose, you still get a score.

When gaining food via the Venomous Spider card, you take a food token instead of keeping the card. You only keep cards when it's an Expertise symbol (for which there are no tokens)

Ori Avtalion Yes, I knew that, but in the heat of the jungle, I made that mistake a couple of times. Luckily, it doesn't seem to affect game play. Thanks for watching!

There was one play near the start where you gave up your black panther card as a food token, getting rid of the jungle expertise on the card as well that could have helped you out. Making a video while trying to keep track of all of the strategies of a game is very difficult. I really enjoyed it!

I love the art in this game. Really brilliant. It's also a nice touch how the event icons thematically match the art. For example: Do I shoot the snake and eat it afterwards (spend a bullet, gain food). Or do I get bitten by the snake (spend two life). :-)

Bart De Vuyst I completely agree the art is spectacular.

In the last evening phase, maybe you'd have survived it if the healing herbs were played at the front instead of at the end. Then one explorer would have died, but the others could gain some health - it's a shame to skip this card. In the morning phase, you should try to rearrange the cards as you place them - this will help in planning your following card plays.

Ori Avtalion Thanks for the tips! I definitely could have played much better. I'm still wrapping my mind around the strategies, and didn't want to take too long planning while filming.

In the solo mode can this be played In the easy set up with 4 health and 7 path cards? Thanks..Colin

You can set it up anyway you like. Try different layouts, thats what I did.

I know this video is old, so you may not see this... but the swap rule states: 'You may swap any two cards later in the path, should you wish.' Because of the way that's written, I find it odd to be on a yellow banner. Does that rule mean that it's actually optional though?
@play-it-or-not2 жыл бұрын
Yes, this one is optional even when it is on a yellow banner

ok, you really got me interested here. are the cards bigger than the standard sized cards?
@solomodegames7 жыл бұрын
Yes they are. They're more like tarot sized cards. They are also quite thick.

with the Panther card you gained leaf symbol and food, could you just take 1 food token and keep card as leaf symbol? because later when you used that card to pay food you loose leaf symbol at the same time.

When cards are added to your party, it seems easy to forget what “resource” they are supposed to represent after accumulating them. Doesnt the rulebook offer a suggestion on how to keep track of that? Probably easy to do... but seems like it would make more sense and be easier if the game had included resource tokens to track resources gained, instead of just taking the card that may represent multiple resources but of course you have to remember which one applies. Or am I missing something here?
