Yeah, there's a lot of creepy stuff going on. I still don't like biology for the same reason. Also, it's terrifying to be shown how fragile the brain is. It's our entire self. Isn't it weird that the goal of the game is to take away everything from Rathbone, whom we grow to love throughout the game??

This gave me such bad nightmares as a kid, especially the wire mouse from around 28:40
@lordpsi992 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I had nightmares, too. The Magic School Bus: Inside the Human Body also gave me recurring nightmares of getting stuck shrunken inside my own or the character Arnold's body. I still have those nightmares. There's this level in Zelda Ocarina of Time that's inside a giant fish/whale and I couldn't play it because I was petrified. I still struggle to play it to this day. Futurama had an episode that combined all my nightmares into one, where Fry gets worms in his body and the other characters went inside with these scale, remote control robots they controlled with VR and motion capture suits. Eventually Fry goes inside himself as one of these micro robots and cuts a bunch of stuff in his own brain. I felt so sick watching it, in fact, I'm feeling queasy right now. It could have all started with this game! I think it was mostly the Magic School Bus game, though, not the actual episodes the game was based on. If you look up a playthrough, you can see why it's so scary. The prerendered CGI cutscenes with the extremely high contrast colours and shading are very very unnerving.

My parents bought a computer that included this game, it was one of my favorites!!! It's funny because my native language is spanish, I didn't knew how to speak english back then, so I just heard the words and the pronunctiation, it was kind of musical. Now I can understand everything and well... it's an interesting experience haha, so awesome.

If I'm not mistaken, there's another section that's unlocked when you complete a certain amount of the game. It's accessed from the dark blue (brain stem?) that also outlines the whole brain.

sounds a little familiar, but it's honestly been literal decades since I played it enough to get there. Any memories of what the minigame was?

@BeinwenАй бұрын
It was called "Dreamland". The puzzle was a top-down view of a warped/hilled chessboard where you had to navigate a sphere around various obstacles to flip a switch that opened the door of a hole that you then had to navigate it to. I remember it being very difficult! I think between us my dad and I completed the whole game maybe once. 😅
