Fun Fact: The country Venezuela is named like that because when Americo Vespucio came the first time to Venezuela in the first colonial period in 1499 he asociated the "palafitos" (houses above the water) with Venecia so he called the new land as "Venezziola" word that is a diminutive of "Venecia" so the meaning of "Venezuela" is "Little Venecia" or "Pequeña Venecia" in spanish, over the years the word changed to Venezuela.

Kurt - you are DA MAN!! This as good, if not better - than any National Geo travelogue I've ever seen. Huge props to you and whoever helps for all the captioning and editing - the colors for the different people speaking - the translations - it's amazing. I feel I'm picking up the language and the cadences, accents, all of it, and it's not easy. Many years hanging with Hawaiian pidgin speakers has definitely helped this haole/gringo.
