The sound design in JPIII is extremally good, it puts the world movies to shame really

The dino sounds of JP3 haunted me as a child like none of the other films. By far my favourite sound design.

I’ve really enjoyed these bonus features of JP 3, there was never much out there to see the bts of this movie and it’s really cool

The fact that the alleged ‘bad’ movies of back then had all this work and artistry and effort put into it. Nowadays even the biggest blockbusters have little to none of this sort of production value besides a million VFX artists crammed into a room. The music, sound design, practical effects all gone. The most recent movie I remember having this type of interesting behind-the-scenes was Dune, which actually had a fascinating sound design

Fun fact, that Spinosaurus roar actually uses a sound effect from the Carnotaurus of Disney's Dinosaur.

@@dcsf1 it was gary rydstrom who made the sounds for all those movies after all, it kinda makes sense thst he would recycle some sounds

Christopher Boyes was also a sound designer in Disney's Dinosaur.

I figured because the roar played for the Spinosaurus at 3:13 is literally the sound of the Carnotaurus from that movie which predated JP3 by about 14 months.

The one thing they don't mention is the use of sounds of Disney's Dinosaur Carnotaurus. Spinosaurus has some roars, one of them can be heard here 3:13, and Ceratosaurus has a growl that can be heard here 8:44.

The guy who played mr kirby bitched alot during production of this as it pertains to the lack of a script and many changes. Its no wonder this film comes across as too simple of a story for a worthy sequel..
