I just ordered the King of Khand from Ebay because I've always wanted that model and never got it. I don't need it for an army, I think the sculpt is just gorgeous and at some point in the future it will be a blast to paint it!

Khand is a great range. I’ll definitely be playing my Khand this edition.

Nice to see some non-panic. Pretty relaxed about most of what is going, though a shame to see the Khazad range slimmed down before I got round to it

Here in the southern U.S. we plan on continuing to allow all Legacy profiles at competitive events. It is a bit sad that they won't be sold or rebalanced but the community can take up that mantle.

I am not really happy, but at the same time I am not going to lose sleep since in the States most of these have been out of stock for awhile. Vraskû is the only one on the list that I really wanted still. The ones in this list that I already have I will just mix in if possible.

I wasn’t sure about the Dunlendings going as surely they would be possibly part of the Wildmen guys for the new War of the Rohirim!

I guess the new film takes Dunland in a different direction to that which GW took. The Oathmaker and wildmen are still in keeping with the new stuff so they remain.

I'm pretty sad to see Erestor, Glorfindel (unarmoured) and Gildor Inglorion go into Legacy. Very key characters for Rivendell, plus pretty notable mentions and moments in the book for Glorfindel and esp Gildor. The mounted unarmoured Glorfindel is just as epic in pose IMO as the armoured version. HOWEVER, with the new LOTR film 'The Hunt for Gollum' and Untitled movies, they're perfect opportunities to introduce these characters into the PJ-verse, as we're bound to see some characters from the books yet to be brought onto screen which went amiss in the OG trilogies. The movies will introduce new characters to fill in these gaps too. Gildor Inglorion for example, could make an appearance and a movie-version made available in due time. High chances for Elladan and Elrohir in Hunt for Gollum too.

That’s a good point. The hunt for Gollum is so thin a premise on paper that they almost have to add a bunch of characters that were thereabouts at the right time. The twins are a big one.

Pretty reasonable take on the range moves I think. Especially hard for people because MESBG basically hasn't had models move out the range permanently before. I'd be very surprised if any of this comes back in MTO. For me I think it was possibly about 5-10% worse than I was expecting, but overall I think there's not loads of stuff going that I think is core to my experience of the game. As you say, there's new stuff coming! Didn't expect so much Moria dwarves go to legacy, and I hope we still see people play that. Also interested in what an assault on Mirkwood/ Lothlorien style list looks like without their key generals now. Obviously Far Harad and Khand going will get a lot of talk, but I think it was inevitable they were going to go. Even aside from the look of the models, can't be too many people playing these non core factions. My only worry is that the designers need to be careful to make sure there's still strong evil heros. I'm sure they'll do that through the profile changes they were looking at, and maybe we can expect a bit more from e.g. Lurtz and Ugluk to help Isengard out. If legacy isn't played, the biggest loss for me personally will be the variety in Serpent Horde. I knew we'd lose golden king but I'd hoped the fatties would stay. Without them Harad is just a lot of D4 S3 spearmen. I wonder if they'll be more joint with Corsairs again Final reflection, the people this is a shame for new people to the game who might see these minis but not be able to get them.

I think we might get MTOs of this stuff. Remember we’ve had countless metals in MTOs that have direct plastic replacements.
