The LOTRROP Haters are Back, but are YOU Excited?!

My husband and I watched the full first season, and the pacing was slooow. I’m not a hater, but we got to the end of Episode 4, and I didn’t have a character that I felt was really compelling and that I was invested in. My feelings about the second season are just… meh. Maybe I will start it and see… maybe I won’t.

My biggest complaint with S1 was definitely the pacing so I totally understand. I was glad I stuck with I though because I felt like the payoff was pretty fabulous come the end of the season

@@KritterXD Yes, the last couple of episodes were pretty good. Unlike WoT, which I have rewatched several times, I haven’t felt a desire to rewatch RoP.

@@DianaW3431 It was definitely a slow burn, but by the end I was into it. For a long time I just watched because it was visually stunning. Maybe finish Season 1 to give it a chance?

@@AloisiaSedai We watched all of season one, and I will probably start season two. The trailer looks interesting, but that doesn’t give a picture of how the pacing and character building will go. Part of the problem is like Episodes 1-3 of the Star Wars movies: you know that the ending for certain characters has to be bad from the outset. And while we don’t exactly know that for RoP, we can make an educated guess.

@@AloisiaSedai it is so true what you say why can’t haters just leave the ones who love it alone🤪. It’s just like wheel of time haters they can’t shut up . I wish they would. I found ROP boring but I don’t hate it or go around torturing people who love it. I am happy for them.

I personally loved seeing old school Hobbits living a nomadic lifestyle. Crazy juxtaposition from where we see thim in the main stories.
