I just finally bought a gen 2 small block 350 lt4 powered vette I love it I owned a ls1 it’s has the same power because it doesn’t feel different from a ls1. I don’t understand why people bitch about the optispark maybe the 1st design non vented but the all lt4 and 1995-97 lt1 came with the 2nd design optispark vented but I can see that the vettes you have to remove the rack pinion or steering linkage to remove that crank shaft damper pulley in order to replace the optispark but the other cars came with lt1 you have more room from the steering linkage or rack and pinion assembly but other than that the car feels modern with classic Chevy small block 350 with dry intake manifold yep no coolant is running through intake manifold other than the Tbi unit which I bypass which is free mod not much horsepower or torque gain but its getting cooler air in rather than hot air.

I recall buying two engines from a guy, a LT4 and small block 400. I couldn’t figure out the LT, I was putting an engine in an s10 blazer.

If the LT1 would've been made for more than a few years. We would have more aftermarket support which would make it cheaper to build one. That's my only problem with the LT1. The price to build one

Very useful information. Unfortunate I can't take advantage of the opti spark delete options due to living in smog heavy California 😒😒

Even the torqhead???

@@nikothevirgo was go buy it years ago but I won't pass smog with that. California is a pain that's what kept me from doing certain mods and I'm not trying to go the illegal smog route. But the electric wp will be a good mod of the two.

That's a fact. Better torque curve 😎

We have been running them for 40 years. Got one getting bored in the next few weeks.
