The LTD Truckster James Hetfield Signature Aged Primer Grey is a cool Mother Trurcker

In my opinion the ESP and LTD Truckster are one of the coolest James Hetfield signature guitars. It is an original idea that a lot of people don’t seem to understand. It is not supposed to be an aged guitar, instead it is a distressed truck that has been painted over a couple of times.

What did you use to clean the guitar? specifically the body, but also curious on what you use for the neck and hardware. I have the 2005 grey, it spent most of the first 5 years sitting in a rack as I used it a lot. Since then it has been in a case, but has continued to yellow the grey paint as well as the binding. I don’t mind if I can’t restore it back to the original colour, but am hoping to tone down the yellowing a bit. Good review, glad you took the time to explain the finish, I have had to explain it a few times over the years.

Its cooler in greenish. I use Music Nomad One with gentle touch of a microfiber for the body (dont buff or it will shine). For t he fingerboard - Music Nomad F-One. Frine Fret Polish by MN for the frets and Guitar Polish for the hardware.

Sounds pretty dam good , emg pickups , I thought it was the hetfield sig pickups , nice sustain . I will settle for the ltd version 😉 better on the pocket . I like black and gray truckster , all of the hetfield sig. Ltd 👍 guitars . The hetfield sig. pickups and the emgs . Which do you prefer and why ??

Such design could be lifesaving for people like me. When I got new stuff I am a bit overprotecting it, care stuff (especially stuff like guitars) to much. And if it is already "scratched" it could be easier to deal with new damage.

Hi, I just sanded my LTD Truckster (grey), to check if it has 3 layers of paint. And, as I thought, it has 3 layers of paint. No stickers or so. :)

Yeah I also saw same picks in the facebook group, LTD were doing some good stuff back in the day. Now they will never paint a guitar 3 times.

@@GeorgeVGuitars I see. I just posted pictures now in the Guitars of James Hetfield FB group. Mine is an early model, so I guess that is why. As you said, LTD would never do that today. Agree. :)
