The most eye opening part is I started this video while still getting my “relax area” setup and kept waiting for him to change guitars. Turns out he already did, and since I wasn’t focusing on it so heavily and I’m not familiar with yet I didnt even notice.Thats probably how most people who listen to music would feel too, the higher quality only matters to the player.

I own this one with Koa top. Sounds amazing. I think probucker 2and3 sound almost perfect considering the price. There were nothing to complain about QC.

The gain on that is just way too much distortion o wouldn’t want that in my band

Have u changed standard wire connection to the toggle switch? Because your position in treble (neck) while u playing not rhythm (bridge), it's confusing me...

My local shop has them , i fell under their spell . I like seeing more wood less paint so it suits me,, split pro buckers to tons of tone through modern amps

zero difference in sound with the gain. By the epiphone. 2000$ more is insane. USA doesn't deserve the extra cash these day. Most people do much better than Gibson in price and quality these days. They are just holding on.

I have a VinTage ( the Guitar Brand ) AFD Paradise Flame from round about 2012 customnized with original Seymour Duncan Slash Pickups CTS pots and Orange drop caps in 50´s wiring and the colour looks like your Gibson this cost me ca. 600€

At the final same sound, buy the Epiphone, you will lose less on resale. By the way great review !

I didn't think much of the two-humbucker model because the absence of a neck pickup makes it sound louder ( no magnet pull where the strings resonate the most ) but after your excellent video I might get one 🙂🙂 Thanks 👍👍

I recently bought an used 2008 Epiphone Les Paul Custom Alpine White. It is quite yellow like yours, and has some cracks on the painting (which I like). Could it have a nitro finish?

Gibson Les paul 76 pickup 490r 498t best timbre in a live situation with a band or studio, some of the best sounds that can be torn up in the mix and a great organic and warm sound.. The Emg, with all due respect, are not cool, they have a plastic sound, the Paf Pickups have a lot more quality and definition 🤙💪👍

Active pickups seem pretty similar in quality I had some with schecter branded active pickups and it was amazing probably rates as good as Seymour Duncan Blackouts i would say.

Yeah I'm not seeing the the five thousand dollar difference there's really no significant difference between the two biggest differences is one says esp on the headstock WOW that's one expensive headstock label.

It's very had to justify the difference in price of the ESP to LTD when it's in hand and by the sound but once you get into how the guitar is made and how ludicrsy more expensive it is to do it one way than the other then you understand. Whether that's worth anything to you...

I have an ec-1000[Korea] Duncan that compares to a LP Standard, so I couldn't imagine the ESP being much better

1 was slightly better although 2 grew on me

Tokai are not allowed to advertise their Gibson types directly to overseas markets. You have to go through a distributor. I even emailed their Hyunsai factory direct and they told me they cannot sell me an SG or LP type. I got a nice Premium Series SG through a shop in Indonesia.

The thing is their shape is NOT the same. The ghosthorse has the traditional explorer shape and headstock. The Extura however has a pointier heastock and is narrower over the middle of the body. Just thought i'd let people know :)
