Hello everybody! I am very happy to see the overwhelming positive support on this video, me and EZScape worked really hard on it and we are both very happy with the end result. I’ve noticed a lot of people asking why the game is set to Italian, and the simple answer is that it is the fastest language available for Wind Waker HD, which saves around 1 minute. In this video we also did not go into much detail on Barrier Skip due to how complicated that trick is, however while making this video I was working on the side on an in-depth video about Barrier Skip, so if that is something you are interested in, you could check it out here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qpiZXpqEetKBm9E

Play through games as fast as possible is such a nice feeling . My first speedrun was Metal Gear Solid for PS1 when i was around 9 years old . There were stores where you could "test" games , but kids at my age used to meet there and compete in different games . There was a stand with MGS and i completed it in about 4 hours. The guy from the games section was so nice he even put in the second disc and watched as i went to finish it with like 5 other kids around me . That were good times 😄 Back then you would get recognized a day later " thats the kid who played MGS fast as hell" .trading codes and helping each other was so awesome . Pure gaming culture.

Alright all you nerds saying 1% isn't even that rare, you need to remember this isn't the same process as, lets say hunting a shiny Pokemon. Each roll for a shiny Pokemon takes less than 1 minute, and can be restarted right away (if you're catching them in the wild). If you think of what Linkus is doing as catching a shiny then each run he gets to 4 hours, including all of the room for error, is the equivalent of you trying to encounter a shiny Pokemon once. Oh and I did say it was a lower than a 1% chance in the video, I just didn't want to give out an incorrect number in my commentary. It's probably closer to ~.25%, but I really couldn't be bothered to try to calculate the odds of battleship lmao.
@PriestRSC5 жыл бұрын
If it's relatively close to 0.25% then it should take on average 277 runs that encapsulate all of the different luck based moments. So if that's four hours, he needs to spend 1108 hours to ever get a run with these set parameters on average. But the odds if it were 1%? It's now down to 69 tries on average, or 276 hours. Which is a vast difference from 1100 hours. If Linkus plays this is a 9-5 job, then it'd be over a month before he sees this luck again at 1%, and nearly five months at 0.25%. EDIT: Five months if all he got were runs that didn't reset prior to the four hour mark, he obviously does not have that happen.

The battleship in Wind Waker is very different I believe, and on top of that he didn't have a perfect game regardless. If it was an 8x8 grid with 8 possible ship squares it would be 8*7*6*5*4*3*2*1/64*63*62*61*60*59*58*57 So.... a general function would be (ship_squares)!/(total_squares!/(total_squares - ship_squares + 1)!) ?? Note to self: When making a video game, hire a speedrunner or three as playtesters. They're pros at getting games to do things you'd never expect them to.

9:58 Gave me the idea of minecraft 100% survival items. Get one of every items possible in minecraft excluding bedrock. Maybe I should say items meant to be obtainable in minecraft. Brings into question what the least “illegal” unintended item is. 2:28am 17/10/20

I was totally sure this was gonna be about fairy hover. I never even thought about how hellish the 100% run would be.
@ZachHenke5 жыл бұрын
Katie S Just in case you don’t know, fairy hover hasn’t been a thing for awhile now. Gymnast found a way to kill a morth with the sword without it dying, so when you put it up on the ledge and shoot it with an arrow it will actually drop a heart. This means it’s actually a consistent trick now.
@Neptunequeen425 жыл бұрын
Zachary Henke I know, I watched the GDQ run where they did it! I still think if someone got fairy hover on first try it would be an incredibly swag strat just to do for bragging rights. plus afaik it’s still technically faster if you get it and loses the same amount of time on death, just less likely to work.

If you have a problem with the length of the video, you can always use gearwheel strats to speedrun it!

If you go on the couch perfectly to the left pause and resume you will clip into the couch then pick up the tv remote hold a bomb throw then side hop to the right fly to this pixel get the tv remote to move a pixel to the right and then pause then the bomb will push you into the cutscene to skip school
