Yeah, you can really see both here! I watch just the clip starting with Lucy calling to her up until the applause dies over & over. Like the audience, I love seeing Viv's face again & seeing their reunion!! It's wonderful to see Viv so happy & to hear that applause go on & on!

I LOVE watching just that section over & over, until the applause ends. It's great that the applause for Vivian & their reunion went on for so long! It seemed so genuine when Vivian came running & they kept hugging, as if Vivian Vance was seeing Lucille Ball again & not just their characters!

Please don't call Vivian "Ethel". There was never any Ethel character in this series. Vance hated that people called her Ethel & didn't even know who Vivian Vance was. So out of respect for her, please don't use the name "Ethel" unless you are talking about the CHARACTER that was on I LOVE LUCY with Lucy RICARDO. These are entirely different characters in a world where Lucy Ricardo & Ethel Mertz never existed. It would be like calling Elijah Wood, "Frodo", for the rest of his life!

She got too little recognition & appreciation for her talent, sense of humor, & being one half of the most widely recognized, beloved, & enduring comedic duo in history. She didn't even get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame until 1991! She died in 1979! WTF? Why didn't she get that while she was still alive?!

It was lovely in the 60s and 70s. We would all be on the Waving Gallery and watch as the planes came in. We'd crane our necks (old fashioned saying) competing to see who'd recognize grandma first and shout and wave vigorously as she walked on the tarmac. Grandma, who was very reserved, just smiled and blew kisses and then down we'd rush to meet her at the gate and help her get her luggage off the carousel. It was done like that in the good ol' days. Now, we're lucky if we get a foot in the door to greet loved ones. Sad.
