Having had bosses like Mr. Mooney, I still think he's a big jerk! And remember, it was Mr. Mooney to begin with that wanted Lucy to get a job to supplement her trust fund that her dead husband left.

Much thanks to the uploader. I watched this show when new, as a child, and loved it. It is a classic, and hilarious. I also loved Here's Lucy, but The Lucy Show was alot more funny, plus many famous celebs guest starred on this. I loved the ep with John Wayne, and also the one with Tennessee Ernie Ford.

Lucy was the funniest lady on tv. She was the first woman on tv to be pregnant on tv except you couldn't say Pregnant on tv back then. I read back then you could not say Pregnant on tv till a. lady on a soap opera in the early 60s.

I wonder if Phil Silvers dropping that first cigar was actually written into the script or if it was a blooper? Look at Lucy's face when he does it!
@thomasmagnum3588 Жыл бұрын
I think blooper, but his years of doing live television paid off! He just kept going, they liked what he did, and left it in.
@retroguy9494 Жыл бұрын
@@thomasmagnum3588 I'm actually thinking the same thing. Lucy was trying not to laugh when he dropped it. I also think the line 'there's a cigar on the floor do you like sloppiness' was written in the script for Lucy to pick up the one he took out of the client's mouth but as it was smashed and there were now TWO cigars, she went for the one Silvers accidentally dropped.
