This was an enriching conversation! Thanks to both for your open minds. Ari seems not to realise that the Vedic/Indian astrological system heavily relies on planetary rulerships and dignities. Beware of judging - for good or bad - systems that haven’t been fully understood. Indian astrology is highly pragmatic while simultaneously holding the view that spiritual growth is important. One of the reasons I moved away from EA about 11 years ago was that everything was heavily evaluated based on an evolutionary process and there was little attention placed on the everyday, practical life experiences of the people who were asking for clarity and support. For that reason I went back to traditional astrological systems such as Indian and Hellenistic 🙏🏻

Namaste, dear teachers. I'm 62, but remember seeing a glowing man in robes appear before me in the middle of a three-year-old's tantrum about hating my newborn sibling. As I seethed, "I hate that baby, I hate that baby..." He appeared. He walked to my little cot and moved a tear drowned bang from my forehead, and said, "Isa, you should not say that you hate that baby. One day you will learn your brother." I now know that He wasn't talking about my sibling... but all of humanity. Mercury, Sun, SN, 29.35-29.42 in Capricorn. Venus conjunct ascendant. It's my life's work...

3rd. House Uranus retro. on Castor conjunct Southnode on Pollux , Chiron conjunct northnode squared by Neptun retro in 6th Libra, while Pluto in Leo in 4th or on 5th cusp. Something very complex I simply cannot look through. Great conversation about the many layers of this topic. Thank You Guys!

What’s the orb to the nodes you would use? My south node is 11° to 13° away from planets. Is that still a conjunction from EA? And my planets are moving away from the node not moving toward it.
