I’ve made the frosting where I put the sugar to dissolve with the flower, but I’ve also done it where I’ve added it to the butter. I find that when I added it to the butter, it tends to be more grainy. I’ve only had it out one time where it wasn’t grainy. I’m gonna do a side-by-side and see how it turns out. This is my favorite frosting ever I could eat it. Forget the cake give me the frosting.

Have never seen this made by adding the granulated sugar to the butter...I have added the sugar to the flour and milk to get it fully dissolved. Will have to try this method to see if there is a difference in the final texture.
