Fear of God only got off the ground because of Abloh Their collab with Zegna made FOG even more popular but that is because Zegna was looking for a way to apporach the luxury streetwear community without deviating from the Zegna heritage. FOG’s Essential line even if sold out due to hypebeasts is nothing special at all and the main line prices are in my opinion not justified.

FOG had a massive following way before his collab Zegna, and Zegna benefited as much, if not more off their collaboration… opened them up to a brand new audience, it’s rare to find someone younger than 35 wearing anything Zegna, as was it a rarity to find someone older than 35 wearing FOg, but the brand has matured so much… Watch his interview on Tim Talks w/ Jerry… I’ll give you the Abloh part, his introduction to Kanye definitely boosted his career, but to say it’s overrated is just ignorant… All “luxury” clothing is overrated if you want to rationalize things, paying hundreds, sometimes thousands for a cotton tee for any brand is sort of ridiculous… But, we do it because some of us can. I own a lot of FOG so maybe I’m biased, but I assure you the quality and craftsmanship is definitely there.
