Vadim seems like a nice enough guy, but definitely more of a middleman rather than a watch enthusiast. Actually, most of these guys seem that way tbh. Hey producer Michael! I am a airplane lover is well! I was a paratrooper in the US Army and enjoy jumping out of them but now I want to fly them! I am 56 years old and really would like to obtain at least a sport pilot's license but cannot do it because of finances. I have a little experimental plane I am trying to fix up to maybe fly one day if I can get about 10 hours under my belt for Ground School in a few hours of flying. I look to the sky for airplanes all the time and also listen on Livestream the Chattanooga Airport where I am near. Sorry but i cant stand this anymore. The guy in the shop knows nothing about true watches, just knows the ones priced over retail and that make him the highest profit. On top of that he ruins vintage rolex dials trying to make them “modern”. This has nothing to do with being a watch enthusiast. They are used as a mean of fighting inflation by having your money sit in the form of watches that don’t depreciate like money in a bank does. All high end art are not purchased entirely because they are worth these huge sums but because people have more money than they could possibly use and need to store it in a way that doesn’t depreciate.

Only on the second had market do they lose there value, when first modified they cost more than retail or whatever the dealer wants to charge. Your paying for the watch plus the modifications, try and resell it and you lose your shirt.

Well, I can see the appeal. If the watches were damaged and needed a big restoration, this makes sense. We are talking damaged dial and bracelet. This option provides a "piece unique" that has a feel way different from a Rolex vintage. In another video he showed a bronze Rolex that was amazing.

I knew Rolex named a watch after Juan Pablo Montoya but I never knew AP named one after Rubens Barrichello, that is cool 😎, I knew so little about fine watches before I started watching the channel, now I have learned so much about the different makers, movements and styles. I am really loving it, such a fascinating subject. Thing is why i enjoy this channel is to me when I watch Michael i dont see him as a rich rich guy. infact, they don't cost that much more to make. why can apple sell their shit for 500x more than they paid. why are there shoes "worth" 1 mio dollar. those businesses live from rich people that are dumb enough to buy shit. michael is different. he buys stuff because he likes it, not because all rich people do it and only to show off that you just bought plastic for 100 grand. that's why i like him, very humble guy.
