I had the biggest crush on Hank when I was just a kid. I didn't find out he died three years before I was born, until i was ten or eleven years old. The radio and a couple of albums of his greatest hits in the 1960's my mom had, was all I had to go on. I'm 68 now, and I still love him.

Hank did write a lot of his own songs .He was a lyrical genius. You should check out "Men With Broken Hearts," recorded under his pseudonym, Luke The Drifter.

When I was about 10 years old, my father got a Hank Williams greatest hits type album. I loved it, I listened till I knew all the words to every song on it. I haven't heard this for at least 50 years but the words are coming back to me. Thanks

Thank you Harri and Uncle Phil. Great choice. I love hearing these old songs and seeing Harri's reactions. . I love how you respect every singer, Harri. You give them the most honest and truthful accolades they deserve. Hank is the original of the old lyrical country songs. And, It's great to hear your infectious laughter concerning the lyrics. Yes, I too think he was a bit naughty. I think we are all aware of where Hank Williams Jr inherited his mischievousness 😅. The apple does not fall far from the tree! Both were very talented artists. ❤

I have tried to get so many reactors to listen to John Prine and Iris DeMint singing In Spite of Ourselves. Just knowing they would at the very least get a laugh out of it. But none of them have.

You should listen to some of his less popular songs like Window Shopping, Mansion On A Hill, My Son Calls Another Man Daddy, or I'm Sorry For You My Friend;also, the movie I Saw The The Light where Tomm Hiddleston plays Hank is a good watch.
