I hate the liquid analogy so much and you're using it so horrendously right now.

not sure why you hate the analogy but I for one thought the usage in this video is ok. It's not 1:1 what happens, but that's an analogy ..

they use water analogy even in rf.

But that doesnt use diodes, it uses resistors to charge the capacitors and then they are switched by an spark discharge. Also that operates off of DC, not AC as this device

All energy from this electrostatic generator are discharge through top hole directly in the sample if I understood right ?! But why need a hole, teoretic is enough just approach the sample to the generator to make one electric arc between sample and accelerator ?

Simple and it would have been reliable and just what was needed at that point in time. 😎🇦🇺👍

Brilliant! Thank you.

What is the leads, plates and insulator of the capacitor? I can see the round cookie jars, but the look like they are metal all around?

But is it a full bridge rectifier!

Why does every wannabee have to change things that were better before the stupid change? We say 4x2 for a very good reason NOT 2x4. We say 8x4 NOT 4x8 for a very good reason. We have said the Walton Cockroft ladder for over half a century for presumably a good reason.
