Doing Algonquin from Lake Colden was one of the toughest trails i've encountered in the ADK's and that was on a 90 degree summer day! ...its just straight up though, counldn't imagine breaking trail up that

Excellent as always. Want to do the Mac range this winter, but may wait until next winter season. Would be my 4th time up. Great comments about caution in the alpine zone, much needed!

That last part up Iroquis is tricky even in summer/fall. Glad I'm not the only one who scratched his head and said "hmm, where's that trail?"
