It makes sense that the sonic Macy's Thanksgiving parade balloon has merchandise. The Eruptor Thanksgiving parade balloon has a figure so it's understandable for another parade balloons to get merchandise.

I like to think Sonic's gonna appear every 10 years for the parade's balloon. The 10 year gap (plus, it was his anniversary for both years) seems intentional. But as for the main point of the video, I'm surprised they featured him in the merchandise a lot more! With him being the first gaming character to appear, he's an important icon in their history
