🇮🇳 The Madina Masjid : India’s First Glass Mosque. The largest Mosque in Shillong, India 🇮🇳

This 4 storied building is the largest Masjid in Shillong and Meghalaya. Located 2 miles from the Shillong city centre.
The entire masjid is covered with glass panels, a very unique design I haven't seen anywhere else.
The Muslim population of Meghalaya is around 140k. In the 40s, the population was much higher, but gradually, it started decreasing. Today, around 7000 to 10000 Muslims live in Shillong.
The Masjid was opened in 2012 and has a capacity of over 2000 people.
Today, it is a landmark of the Laban area.
