The Disklavier is one of my favorite player systems, it's quite simple to use, it seems, and it has that awesome speaker system so you can have piano and band together, nothing better!

I want that! And I wouldn't mind having the piano and disklavier also

Not only PERFECT for this pandemic - which is hopefully over very soon - but a whole new world in piano playing. Amazing.

@@bikemike1118, sure! Too bad that my dream piano, the Imperial, is not compatible with those techs. But really if I had the money to own one, I would have too a Big Baby (170) or a Middle size (214) with Both DISKLAVIER and SILENT. This second would be my "class" piano hahaha.

@@JohannaA.5013 I love it too. They belong to Yamaha since a number of years now and the newer Yamaha‘s are said to be AMAZING sounding grand pianos as well. Said by pianists not under Steinway contract …😉…Better than S&S… for that matter. They‘re up there with Fazioli, C.Bechstein and …of course their Austrian „brother“. Greetings from Germany

OH OH! I was wondering about this! Is that Wayne Stahnke's piano roll conversions?? Is there a a list somewhere of what's in the library?! This is so exciting!!
@PiotrBarcz2 жыл бұрын
Maybe, though Stahnke built the Live Performance LX which is now the Spirio in Steinway's pianos so I highly doubt it.

The Disklavier system with Enspire interface is overall better than say the Steinway Spirio R system. For example, Disklavier registers the key return speed as well as the key attack speed and Spirio R does not, so I understand. The replay is so extraordinarily faithful to the original on Disklavier you really cannot tell the difference between pianist and machine. However (i) you can’t edit Enspire recordings without exporting the MIDI file to an editing suite like Steinberg Cubase - this is highly annoying Yamaha!! I have no idea why Yamaha don’t add editing functions to Enspire particularly since (as I have just discovered) recording directly to Cubase Pro 12 means you lose a bunch of parameters, so you have to record in Enspire then export it and then re-import. Even the Spirio R has editing functions; and (ii) slick though this Bösendorfer video is, the version of Disklavier you fit to Bösendorfers is not the full Disklavier system. So if you want the best Disklavier performance you’ll have to get the Yamaha DCFX. That said, there is a new model for 2022 and it sounds awesome (Hough Rach Pag). Please add editing functions to Enspire!!
