Fascinating. In Victoria, Au, we only have two trucks in the whole state that are CAFS equipped, as far as I know. Both near the coal mines in the LaTrobe Valley. Other states use it more widely.

How much foam can this produce on one tank of water and one CAFS tank? - According to a certain retired Station Officer - he reckons it 'makes water wetter'?

tigger1662003 we can produce 15000 litres of CAF from one of our tanks. It is basically chemically altered water which forms smaller droplet sizes and is more effective for extinguishing and cooling.

john linden that is a lot of firefighting media. Is it expensive or are you given free reign to use it as you need to? Incidentally the retired Station Officer I’m referring to features in one of your other videos 😉

tigger1662003 the concentrate is quite expensive but we don’t let that restrict the use. Although it is biodegradable the EA aren’t that keen on it and we have restrictions on the training sites we use because of that.
