We have lost the ability to listen to Indian classical music and want something quick, pop culture. As he said, the music has been worked on for centuries, and has many transformative qualities if one can listen or learn with heart .

He also said that it will take years to learn classical music but no one does this in India.

Equating Athma to silence is not a good idea. It dilutes the meaning. Athma is conscious, self luminous, pure awareness, immanent, transcendent and omnipresent. It is also the conscious observer and experiencer of both micro and macrocosm even though not the doer. In higher states of consciousness or rishi states, ancient maharishis were able to access akashic records (first element). Shabda is a quality of akasha.

This is what I do Sadhguru:)! I am a violinist who uses music to heal and bring happiness to people. I am very careful to choose major key songs that make people feel good. In a couple hours I have a lesson with a 7 year old boy whose mother is from India. I also made a mural based on the musical vibration patterns you are describing. It is the centerpiece on my dining room wall. Cymatics. Thank you for your inspiring work:)!

Anantha samsara samudra taaaram is guruvashtakam and ChandraShekarashtakam, which is amazing by markandeya mahamuni. If it was not wonderful and relaxing then you would have chosen some other sthothrams . In future you may also encounter some other beautiful and pleasant sthothrams and you will choose that sthothram which would be more relaxing and pleasant. You must understand that all the pleasantness and the feeling of relaxation is coming from you and the sthothra was a means for you to feel you relaxed and wonderful. You are pleasant and wonderful already. That is the reason you choosed to listen these sthothras.

Thank you very much Sadhguru-Ji 🙏❤️ Three years ago I suffered a head injury which left me with Tinnitus for life. I have since devoted lots of my reflection time on simply listening to it's simphony/cacophony, and it reminds me of evenings growing up in the Atlantic rainforest of Brazil. I knew no name to this practice until today: Ritambhara Pragna

What he says about instrumental music is true. But unfortunately today's people especially youth are under three impression that song means the lyrical aspect is a must. I see very few who genuinely enjoy instrumental music. Plus one problem in India is most songs are based on romance and love and feel a song must have that aspect of romance.
