I also felt stressed and crunched to make the most of every in game day the first time i tried to play SDV. But then like a flip of a switch in the first week of summer 1, I all of a sudden felt a release of pressure and decided to take my time doing whatever I wanted to on a day without worrying. I don't know why the flip happened but I don't miss the pressure.

Another beautiful essay! Ironically I’ve been so tired from work and life recently I missed the upload. Stardew Valley is a fun game for its diverse characters and different play styles. As you said, everyone can find their niche. I spend most of my time going into the caves while my partner loves to garden. And on the farm, I typically horde animals rather than garden for money. I also love the heart events and connecting with the characters. I married Sebastian relating a lot to his character. I remember being in high school and wanting so bad to move to Boston and live freely in the big city but when I fell in love a few times and met my fiancé it showed me how to love where I grew up and make it my home. Sebastian’s story resonates that strongly to me, trying to flee where you’ve been stuck but finding someone who helps you see the beauty in the place you’ve always been so you can make it new and a home for the future. While I don’t play the game often and admittedly can’t get overly attached as others do, I still love it. It’s a unique game with very different but pretty art. It is targeted to a diverse group with so many hidden gems. I really want to restart and try again so I can enjoy the game more thoroughly than rushing through to marry and get through the caves. Maybe this will be my inspiration to do so ❤

Thanks for coming back and watching! I was wondering when I will get your comment since I uploaded ha ha ha. That is such a beautiful story. I relate the most to Sebastian as well. I think he’s got a lot of very relatable characteristics since making the video I started a new save so I could get gameplay footage of the beginning of the game and I’ve been playing every day since then I think it’s been just enough time since my last Playthru for it to be super awesome again! It’s funny though in the video I talk about how I can’t relax when I play the game and that I try to fit as much as I possibly can into each day because I’ve always played it in the past, but this play through seems so much more chill and I’ve fallen asleep, playing it several times this week and just completely lose that day because I pass out so I guess I’ve gotten over that feeling now! 😂 Thanks for always coming back and leaving super long and thoughtful comments. I really appreciate it! I am like 90% sure my next video is going to be on spirited away. How do you feel about that?

(Re-commenting casually because I think my first one was buggy :p) -- You truly have a gift for making me want to play the game you're talking about instantly! I haven't picked up Stardew since last summer but the way you articulate your enthusiasm and love for the games you cover is so infectious and lovely~ :) ♡ Keep up the amazing work!
