Has it been 50 years already? It's awesome to see this once again.

And I'm already making a 50th anniversary fan film based on this special, bringing its characters Little Red, Larry and Carol into a whole new adventure... 👍

very happy to see this long-lost entry into the DePatie-Freleng TV specials resurface. The production design team truly had a lot of fun with this one. they get really bold with the typography and compositions. though, this special reminded me that too much Lennie Weinrib is a bad thing. also, Dean Elliott's music gave me a headace. thanks again for this!~

Are you kidding? I love hearing Dean Elliott’s jazz/space music! It makes me think of those Dr. Seuss specials (back when I had them on Sing-Along tape)!

Bought a box of animation cels at a local flea market, scanned an image of one of them and it's from this show. I was born in 1966 but never heard of this until now!

I know Timer most of my life and this is the first time I see him in this special. Amazing.

I love that this special has the same pattern of the kids having no time for Timer's shit, then doing a total-180 "we're really gonna miss you" bit at the end.

I'm a expert on all things DePatie-Freleng,and I've NEVER seen this one before. Lennie Weinrib did a GREAT job voicing Timer,Dean Elliott was perfect as the music composer, and David & Friz did a good job as producers. TAKE THAT,FILMATION!!!

This was directed by Herb Klynn, you know, the guy that did all the Seven Arts specials after DFE left Warner Bros. in 1967.

This was the second of two DFE TV specials from 1974. The first was the “Incredible, Indelible, Magical, Physical Mystery Trip” from 1973 which was a live action/animated TV special from same company. Timer would later did a series of PSA’s for ABC during the 1970’s. It was first aired as part of ABC’s “After-school Special”

20:52 be a surfer dude if you’re going retsuko 38:31 Cadence Kenyon was nowhere to be found, she just laid down on an abstract palm tree, playing her ukulele and vibing out. 20:21 Suddenly, a voice rang out from her magic microphone, “Children of Paintington…” said the mic, it was so loud that she bolted up. “And now, for his Royal lowness from high atop the Royal Castle, I am proud to introduce, his mighty and most bestowed majesty, the sensational…” Snoopy announced in a voice most supreme. “YOU MEAN KING ELVIS, THE COOLEST ROCKSTAR EVER?!?!?!” Cadence shouted. The children cheered as the mighty ruler was raised up by a podium. “I want him to bloop sign his new album for me!!!” Cadence squealed as a jazzy surfer song began.
