Instead of activator try baking powder. Fraction of the cost and same effect.

I’ve heard that baking soda, mixed with Isopropanol alcohol is a good DIY. 😊

So is it baking powder or soda lol

Finally a good video on magnetising! It seemed like a daft problem but I was wondering what size of drill bit I needed to use. Got my answer and you won a subscription 😂

Dipping the magnet in activator, then onto the glue on the base? Genius! I've got to do this for 60 Cadian shock troops soon. Thanks for the tip. Love the channel!

have you tried to add iron dust in resin, to make fero-magnetic parts. If it works it would be very convenient for small elements like modular weapons+hands that attach to the wrist thru a ball joint. Even on a ~30mm mini adding tiny magnets in wrists and feet isn't difficult (though a bit tedious), but adding even tinier magnets in the hands' ball joints is extremely difficult (I've tried with 1mm magnets and managed only few weapons and a hand)

I do thank you for your prayers and kind words! 😄 I’m all for magnetizing arms, but when it comes to hands it can get a bit tricky! Good luck in your future hobbying!

Hello, im just wondering, if you are adding magnets to the base using SG and GS, after fully building the model, what is the best way to leave them as the glue dries?
@TheAll-InNerd5 ай бұрын
I actually just put them upside down in some containers I had on my table. Small knickknacks surrounding them to keep them from tipping over for a few minutes. I did that both if I used GS with SG or just SG.

What kind of magnet would you use for Terminator arms and weapons and where do you buy them? Im sorry im new to magnetizing.
@TheAll-InNerd2 жыл бұрын
This is the magnets I use for most arms. If you want to magnetize individual weapons you might want to use smaller ones. www.greenstuffworld.com/en/neodymium-magnets-n35/48-neodymium-magnets-3x2mm-50-units.html You could probably find magnets on Amazon as well.

@@TheAll-InNerd i bought some 2x2 mm magnets but the arm is like loose(?) im a bit confused as why its like this? And which drill do you use cause i have one from citadel but its to small for a 3mm drill bit.
@TheAll-InNerd2 жыл бұрын
@@mathiassonntag6647 I’ve never tried 2x2, only 3x2 which I think is a great size for terminator arms. When drilling arms for my Sisters of Battle 3x2 is a little bit too big tho. I have a handdrill for up to 2mm holes and a weaker batterydrill for 3mm an up.
