Our local game store did a group experiment in with the local gamer group in the mid-90's where we tested all those products you did plus a number of others you did not mention that we have in the states. One that our store used and won was Pine-sol. Pine-sol was non toxic, non flammable, cheap, and you can keep it the kitchen with the family. Does not need rubber gloves to work with. Will not eat plastic and took care of some really old paint. Not very special and every hard ware store in America has it. Again safe for children .

The mobility is quite poor sadly. 😆 Especially the arms. It would be better with a smaller torso tho I think. Stairs are also one of my biggest enemies. 😄

@@user-pf9up2jv5j I’ve seen people try some of that technique on the knee- and elbow-covers. For the suit overall I think it’s hard without loosing a lot of screeen accuracy.

I am thinking about using blue stuff to make small molds for hobby concrete. I am not sure of the process.

@@TheAll-InNerd I think so but not sure. The concrete is more fluid so I dont think having the mold in two parts as here would be a good way. And I am not sure if the mold lines will come off nice. I think I need to make the mold like one hollow piece so I can poure the concete down. That will propablly not be ideal for complex miniatures, but it doesnt need to. I have just ordered som blue stuff so I can try it out. Can you recommend some kind of clay to sculp something to make the mold around?

Maybe some kind of silicone mold would work better then. There’s both a fluid 2 part mix and a clay that you can mix that hardens. The clay could be a bit hard to get your model/part out of tho if it’s deep in it.

I have some Battletech minis on which I accidentally used the wrong primer. I tried the alcohol on the first mini, but it was slow. I tried the non-acetone nail polish remover. It did the job, and now I got a some what squishy Awesome. It also melted the base. Basically, someone owes me an Awesome. Lol.

For how long did you leave it in the acetone? Did you try just to brush on the nail polish remover like I suggest in the video? Seems like a lot of people don’t really watch the video fully and see that the nail polish remover is super potent and should be used carefully.

DO NOT PUT THE TOOLS IN YOUR MOUTH OR WORK WITHOUT GLOVES. Greenstuff consists of around 80% bisphenol-a or its side products. BPA is an estrogene mimicker and is toxic. Now, it doesn't kill you, and it is not yet fully clear if causes cancer (although it is likely judging by its chemical formula)

fun fact: Before I saw this video I wanted to try out what happens when I put my mini in just plain water, and I kinda just left it there and after a couple of weeks, I checked it and I could peel off the paint with my fingers, and the (resin) mini underneath was totally clean, no primer or anything on it! so if you have all the time in the world, this might also work :D
