Not that crazy. Some panic rooms are electronically secure. Any modern facility that deals with extremely secret information might have a SCIF--"Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility". Employees are routinely required to leave phones in lockers outside the room, might have key cards for signing into computers, and have extremely controlled ability to transfer electronic information, because too many idiots browsed email on secure computers or accidentally uploaded things without realizing there were viruses in them. In the US military, any such room is marked protected from TEMPEST if closed. Tempest being a codeword that means "Telecommunications Electronics Materials Protected from Emanating Spurious Transmissions”. Electronic "noise" radiation doesn't just interfere with other electronic equipment, it can bear information. The interference is why you aren't supposed to bring phones in certain hospital areas. It really was stupid of Sam to walk past signs like those and wave his phone around.

Almost like she successfully burned the institute to the ground, probably after blinding herself, then went on to found a PMC since she was no longer bound to the archives and never got shot by Elias. Especially if it was after she'd confirmed that single fear rituals were inherently flawed, what better to do than try to fight back against the small horrors that the entities inflict on people? Of course, since unabashedly nice things don't exist in the setting, I bet she ended up in the service of a different entity. Slaughter, because of her troops? Maybe the Extinction, somehow? And she did always have ties to Agnes and the Desolation after her rituals. Even the Hunt would fit for an organization dedicated to location and destroying the supernatural.

WHAT okay there’s a lot to unpack here. Spoilers for, like, the entire Magnus Archives. First, my theory on Celia. Don’t quote me on this, but I believe there is no chance that the reference to tape recorders, the buried, AND flesh was a coincidence. Celia also says that she remembers Jon’s voice from somewhere. Celia knows something. She is either unaware that she knows or is deliberately hiding something, or somewhere in between. My very young theory is that Celia is somehow connected to Annabelle Cane (probably butchered the spelling there), as a sort of reincarnation or the web planted her there as part of their ever twisting scheme. Second, the jmj theory is very nearly confirmed, because just after Celia says she recognizes Jon’s voice, we hear Sam talk about getting an email from someone named JON. So that means we have near confirmation that Chester is indeed Jon in a computer, or Rusty Quill is just giving us hope only to snatch it away at the last minute again *cough* MAG199-200 *cough cough* MAG160 *cough* … sorry, no idea what happened there. Those episodes don’t even exist. Heh. Thirdly, the actual statement I mean case itself. I see a distinct correlation to Selasa (sorry, I’ve never learned the spelling of these names) with the weird items and all, with a bit of stranger mixed in there as well. Finally, I’d like to point out the fact that Celia was not shaken by the statement at all, but Jon’s voice. Out of the two that we know she went through, she wasn’t bothered by any of them.

This episode definitely reads as RITUAL-GONE WRONG (NOT CLICKBAIT)(BUILDING BURNS DOWN) This is on Hilltop road and the items the volunteers were bringing are very reminiscent of some of the fears. If this is a ritual, it follows Elias’ rule that all the fears need to be involved for it to work. My guess is the volunteers were using Hilltop road to hitch a ride back to the TMA universe, which got interrupted by the government people from ep4 who’s name I can’t remember.

Celia seeming to know more than she lets on, Jonathan Sims (it's most likely him) sending an email, Gwen getting a promotion after accusing Lena of (failed) murder, Colin saying something about the "real stuff", so much stuff!
