Alasdair tips on horror writing: 1:37:38 1. tip - Make a big list of horror you like, make graphs, drill down, this is gonna take a while, at least a week, figure out the motives you like, the stuff that you respond to, and why you respond to it, then work out which stories you want to tell with which parts of those, work out what you will be exited about. 2. Then, start getting funky- work out how you want to pace/structure things (this is a job where research is more fun than any other job, the stuff that you love will become the stuff that you write - your first existential crisis will be: "oh i'm just doing a bad cover version of a horror writer that i like") 3. you need to find people in the industry whose work you like and respect and ask for help, so many of us wish not to be perceived, but this is one of the rare moments when you should be perceived

Finally got around to watching the stream, and I just want to thank the homosexual who asked if Hozier is an avatar of The Buried (1:24:22). You have my absolute soul, and I would let you feed off my fear throughout the entire apocalypse. I love you. That being said, I haven't heard the answer yet BUT he'd definitely have some Desolation in him, what with Arsonist's Lullaby (,Cherry Wine?) , and Would That I. (Upon further examination, I think I shall categorize every Hozier song into Fears. I'm sure there's a lot of Corruption, and Lonely?, as well as Stranger in Foreignor's God perhaps, might edit this comment later.) Edit: ALEX DIDN'T EVEN ANSWER IT WHAT. I love Helen though.
