Harri, glad you brought out Cuba Gooding Sr. and the Aaron Neville remake. Well, I've played the fool, no exception to the rule here. This song has simply been a part of my life and helped me move on during those moments. Well done Harri and thank you so much for the reaction.

Great R&B group from the 60's-70's. Interesting their name came from a Coca-Cola bottle. They had a lot of great songs such as "You've Been My Inspiration", "I'm So Proud", "Spinning Around (I Must Be Falling In Love)", "Just Don't Want To Be Lonely", "Rolling Down A Mountainside" etc.

Great request! Been waiting for someone to do it! After one of my biggest, tumultuous romances ended, this was 20 years ago, this came on the radio. I can still see the road I was on in its harsh cold January light. Amazing song. Yeah, I agree, Harri, the song lets us know it's alright; we've all been there... don't be too harsh on yourself because of foolish pride. and don't judge others too harshly either, because the roles might reverse... that's a great line in the song by the way "next time around someone cries for you"

We called it the Philadelphia sound. Other groups included Stylistics, the Spinners, the OJays and Delphonics. What a great genre of music!! I can remember listening to AM radio on my transistor radio. The very best of times🙂❤️

Reminds me of what we Americans call the Philadelphia Sound whose hallmark, at least to me, was the use of strings and lush arrangements. A great bridge between conventional pop of the day and R & B.

I learned Something new today, I used to hear this all the Time on the A.M Radio as a kid growing up in the 70's , and loved this song... but never knew the group. kind of shameful Great melodies and Lyrics and fantastic voices, They Should have more exposure! This is one of the Soul Gems of the 70's that made it a Great Decade for Music! Great Reaction Video. Don't disagree with anything You've said, and thanks for the education on the Band. Anyone saying 70's music was bad... it's because Music in the 70's was prolific, there was so much music from many genres , that there will always be good and bad.. but over all some great sounds came out of the 70's. But then again that goes for every decade of music I guess. I don't usually like most of the modern era of music, but have to admit, there are still musician and singers, still producing some good music, in spite of Autotune and canned samples.

One fantastic group shame that their know for this song they had so many great songs. Long before Cuba gooding sang lead (Donald McPherson who sadly passed away in 1971) was lead singer Just a sampling of their early songs he sang on I'm So Proud you've been my inspiration I'm better off without you Black seed keep growing. Spinning around.Take a listen to some of the songs Cuba Gooding sang as lead Dancing Shoes Happiness is just around the bend rolling down the mountainside Just don't want to be lonely and a fantastic version of The Isley Brothers Work to do. This is Just a few of their many many great records these guys are so underrated. They ran the gamut from funky to laid back mellow Sweet Soul✌️
