Ran into the lead singer at warped while walking around. I hadn't listened to them before but I recognized him so I said hi, and we talked since we were heading the same direction. He was really nice, so I decided to check them out after that and I wish I would've listened to them before meeting him so I would've appreciated it more.

I love the description. This is what music should be about. Music is here to comfort everyone whenever they want to hear something that they need. Everyone has insecurities, and these people have a voice that can share their love with anyone that wants to share. Good luck everyone and it will be okay, even though it may not feel that way now.

These guys genuinely care about their fans, but more importantly, people. I appreciate the fact that with each album they explore real emotions real people feel. There's nothing generic in The Maine. Great song and a heart warming video. Thanks for making this :) A fan for life!

Thanks for the kind words man! It is people like you that inspire us to keep making music. I think the reason we have been able go in so many different musical directions is because we have been given confidence from the people that listen to what we create. Here is to another 9 years of making music. Thanks for the love. -Pat

For the past few years I have grown to be very insecure and lonely about myself. I constantly feel judged and I would always compare myself to others and wonder why I don't look as pretty as them. But I have started to learn to love myself and see beauty in my imperfections because I know that at the end of the day, I'm the only one who can help and love myself genuinely. I was so happy to see that you made a video for this wonderful song from your album! This came along at the perfect time. Thank you.

THE MAINE LYRICS "Am I Pretty?" You think I'm ugly (Don't you?) And I know you hate my body If you don't like just what I do Do what you like So maybe then you'll want me Maybe then you'll want me Am I pretty? Do people like me yet? Is there a party? Am I invited? It's such a pity No one adores me yet So make me up in a shade that fits me Tell me love oh "Am I pretty?" oh, am I pretty? yeah, am I pretty? You make me feel like (like what?) Confetti for the gathering So I'll get used To getting used I'll do that for you So maybe then you'll have me Maybe then you'll have me Am I pretty? Do people like me yet? Is there a party? Am I invited? It's such a pity No one adores me yet So make me up in a shade that fits me Tell me love oh "Am I pretty?" oh "Am I pretty?" yeah "Am I pretty?" oh, am I pretty? yeah, am I pretty? There's beauty and grace in the flaws of your face All candor and style in the crook of your smile There's beauty and grace in the flaws of your face All candor and style Am I pretty? Do people like me yet? Is there a party? Am I invited? It's such a pity No one adores me yet So make me up in a shade that fits me Tell me love oh "Am I pretty?" yeah "Am I pretty?" oh "Am I pretty?" "Am I pretty?" oh "Am I pretty?"

These are the kinds of solid, substantial, inspiring messages we need now a days when we're always exposed to "standards of beauty and social/media expectations". I cannot appreciate them enough for all their hard work and dedication through out the years... and for evolving as a band that spreads individual positivity. Keep it up because you guys are doing something right and giving us something to grasp onto in a world full of negativity and one that challenges us to learn to accept and love ourselves as we are. :)

I definitely like how honest the video is, and how "human" it is to capture and have random people tell their insecurities on cam, to let us know that it's not just about us, that there is a whole lot more to what we keep on telling ourselves is our issue. And that the truth is, we're all f*ckin worth it, we're all pretty in our own little ways, whether the society likes us or not.
