Oh, Lydian, Lydian, have you seen Lydian? Lydian the Queen of Tattoo?- Grouchon Marx

The way I remember Lydian is that it's a Major scale with a sharp 4. Each to their own of course, but that works for me

My hint is to start the C major scale on F. And the IV-chord is a dimished one, which is somehow difficult. I love the regular IV chord.

Well played as usual John. I like it when you show you playing the bass, rhythm, acoustic and lead as it is instructive as to how to construct and record this kind of thing if my guitar skill and technical knowledge and acquiring the necessary electronic components ever happens. Can't say that the Lydian mode is pleasing to my ear, but hey there is no rational basis for taste. I like blue and you like red type of thing. Keep 'em coming if you can make it work. I don't know if they get a lot of views but I like them and find I learn something every time. If you get a minute (which are precious for you I know) have a look at this vid which I found very illuminating as well kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2SklGeVhJZ1bLM&lc=UgyqFZH-EIM-89b-JRV4AaABAg.AC7PoCMvrxVAC9DpGQGLaL I try to be there every Friday but if I can't please have a great Christmas and give a Canadian greeting to your dear wife. All the best Gord

Hm, there are a lot of regular 4th in the piece you play... 🤔
@JRobsonGuitar25 күн бұрын
No there aren't. Not sure where you think you're hearing a D note in the A lydian part or an F note in the C lydian part. Just been through the piece again to check and I can confirm those notes are not present. Hence there are no perfect 4th intervals in this piece. The 4th used in the A lydian part was D# (a raised 4th) and in C lydian I used F# (again a raised 4th)
