I'm not a major fan of PRS but you have to say that sustains really well when under load. All the versatility you need in a guitar and it could easily do the job in somebody's main gigging rig. Not that keen on the clean sound which sounds a bit thin to my admittedly poor old abused ears.

Thanks, good tutorial 👍 I've been meaning to get around to slide guitar in this way, the normal way? Idk, compared to the way many have seen- Gilmour and the lap steel slide guitar, purpose built for slide really high action. On a stand or on lap sitting down. Anyway, there are a lot of debates about what's best kind of slide for the normal way, Glass, steel, brass.... all a bit of a headache but I'm sure like strings or pick materials, fret materials, pretty much anything on the electric guitar is up for debate, but I'm sure they all have their benefits and unique qualities that work well in some situations better more than others so searching for "the best" slide is completely relevant and also subjective. But here in you video, you're using a telecaster with a fuzz pedal or something like that, and it sounds great, that's the sort of sound I'm looking for, so your slide, is it a specific kinda glass or does that really matter, I mean material wise, or is it more about that along with how it fits in your hand and feels to play? Thanks, and if I could make a request for a Slide Guitar lesson, I would request a David Gilmour slide solo. Thanks 👍

Cheers mate. I just use a Dunlop glass slide. I prefer glass as it sounds less "scratchy" but it's not a deal breaker 👍

Impressive! Both nice, I don't mind satin finish but not the green - there's a burgundy one isn't there? PRS do seem to be making an effort re: both price and electronics . . . moving the wiring side of things to US for the S line strikes me as a good idea given my experiences with Indonesian pick-up fails - probably due to the actual selector in the 2 that have let me down.

They are around but harder to find. The other year I found Thundermother which an all-female Swedish outfit for lovers of Airbourne or ACDC. I don't know if you've heard Dirty Honey from California bu the have an Aerosmith, Zeppelin classic rock vibe going on too. The last few years I'm listening more to blues rock which puts you into contact with bands that crossing the line between blues and classic rock. I'm trying to get away from the compressed, quantised sounds that seem to be permeating most genres these days.

"Chemical green". It's true, back when I had a hobby farm I used to buy fenceposts dipped in highly toxic and now defunct "chromated copper arsenate" preservative, that (when fresh) was the exact color of your teal green SE CE and my SE Swamp Ash Special. Congrats on the great trade in deal and that's a pretty sunburst CE you have now. The maple cap does seem to be a tad brighter but could be confirmation bias too. The 85/15'S' pups continue to impress me. But yes, Paul please bring back crescent moons!

Yeah, it's a lovely guitar. Good call. I'm going to have to give one a go. That colour looks better in this than the pictures at dealer websites where it can look a bit 'squinty'. Here it just looks right.

Nice upgrade. These must not be selling so well for that price to match the green one so soon. Still, with Christmas on the way, competition at the 500 pound level is going to be fierce. Tweak the EQ a touch and they are virtually the ame sounding.
