I absolutely love this video! Everything about it... The music is a great jam (burnin one to it) and the track construction is beautiful. It's an awesome track layout. I would love to have that in my backyard.

Thanks man! For just the surface dirt needed to cover the grass, we bought 7 sq. yards at $22 a yard. Then the bobcat work was $100. Then all you need to smooth it out is a lawn roller, which you can rent from Home Depot for $16 a day. That's all without jumps, which we needed an additional 5 more sq. yards.

Thanks, Georgia red clay is very absorbant! We've soaked to whole track with the hose after and it only made it smoother! But the real test is when it rains... I'll post an update if it does.

What is the width of your track? I have a tight space in my backyard but want to make sure I don't make the track too tight or difficult.

As entertaining as that was, the 70's adult movie toon got a little old after a while. Three days of sweeping dirt, that kid must have done something really bad. Seriously, that track looks like a blast!

That shouldn't be too hard. You'll have to take a dremel or rotary tool with a cutting/thin sanding disk and cut a little notch/slot into the screw. Then just take a flat-head screwdriver and it should come right out.

I watched this a bunch of times - it is excellent. I am going to be building my own track. I just purchased a piece of land 22,000 square feet and we will have a house built on it. Out of curiosity, what are the dimensions of this track ? I'd like to do something that is around 30 x 75 feet.
@CyconXc10 жыл бұрын
Thanks Peter, glad it was helpful. Seems like you have the perfect chance to make your own track. I'm pretty sure ours has a 70ft straight, but I'm not 100% sure. I'll measure it and get back to yah.

Nice!!! Is the soil water absorbent? Our track floods when it is raining and it takes some time for it to dry. Thinking about digging some holes on the lowest parts (where the water stays) and filling them with pebbles.

@VestedUTuber4 жыл бұрын
@@logan-booth486 Nah, it's pretty easy if you're just making something simple for 1/10th scale stuff. You actually don't even need heavy equipment. Just lay out the track using some corrugated tubing secured with metal stakes, spray the inside of the track with some non-grass-friendly weed killer, build up the jumps by piling dirt over some supporting cynderblocks and bob's your uncle. You could build this over the course of a weekend. It only becomes difficult and time consuming once you start building for 1/8th scale vehicles, since those tracks tend to be more complex with bigger jumps and other features, or if you want to use specialty dirt like Georgia red clay.
