Man, what CAN'T Gary Oldman do? He's such an underrated actor. He's just such a brilliant actor. It is a real gift to watch actors rehearse with each other after you know what the final scene looks like. It really shows the place they had to go to make the scene work. Amazing.

I have always been fascinated by Gary Oldman, Anthony Hopkins,Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder. This movie is one of my favorite childhood movies. And I wanted to know what love felt like. Now I know it's only a movie but yes there is raw emotion in Dracula's character. Gary Oldman is brilliant!

Watching Gary sing "Summer Wind" while in full Dracula makeup has to be one of the most disturbing/hilarious things I've ever seen. I really wished between filming Oldman would have gone out to a restaurant in full make up but with his regular voice and acted like nothing was out of the ordinary.

I think Uma Thurman. They were married at the time but separated shortly before filming began. In a New York Times interview in 1992, he said this: "Dracula spent 400 years searching for that woman. When he says" (Romanian accent) " 'I have crossed oceans of time to find you' " (back to New Cross) "well, you don't have to be a brain surgeon to get this. You go: 'Yeah. You ever been in love? You ever not been able to sleep and your stomach keeps doing butterflies and you hear someone's voice on the phone and you get all weak at the knees and you have an affair or whatever and then they turn round one day and say, "Well, I've met someone else"?' That is loss!" He and Uma had an affair in 1989 when he was still married to Lesley Manville, so it sounds like he was talking about her there.

The early rehearsal here is for a scene scripted/storyboarded that never made it into the final cut but included in the Mike Mignola comic adaptation and Fred Saberhagen novelization. In an alternate take of the newlywed Harkers' London return, Jonathan goes after Dracula - Mina left alone in a cab - who is lured into a dark alleyway where he is overpowered by the vampire's bat form, unconscious. In human form, Dracula begs a frightened Mina to join him: "Can you conceive of my loneliness?".

I would've loved to have been an actor working with such greats as Hopkins, Reeves, Ryder and especially Oldman! What a surreal experience it would be! Lucky it be those actors!! They should've included this documentary on one of the DVD's - the original first movie or the second Collector's Edition which I'm about to get. Maybe it's on that DVD? Hope so! Oldman is so sensitive. You can feel him when he speaks. He's a LEGEND now and ALWAYS! So glad to have lived in his time! Wonderful movie ~

Carlos Conceição hi I have wanted this music since I saw this documentary in 1992 when I was a child and finally they have released a new expanded score and I am hoping it is included. They have a few of the tracks that you can sample a few seconds from and one sounds like a piece used earlier in the documentary that I have wanted also I am hoping that this is also on the new score. You can buy it here it will be released on 7th December lalalandrecords.com/bram-stokers-dracula-limited-edition-3-cd-set/ you can also buy it on Intrada (record label) who both specialise in scores. If you like I will let you know if it is on the CD I should have it by Christmas (as it’s a gift) so you know before you buy. It is a limited edition of 3000 copies though so may sell out quickly. To add: Hard to believe so many years have gone by since this film was made. Whew! 1992!!! Where has the time gone?? Hope there will be another Dracula movie made but of the REAL Vlad Tepes in a beautiful historical drama like how the movie ELIZABETH w/Cate Blanchet was filmed. Rudolph Martin and Jane March did a Dracula movie based on the real Vlad T. but not as beautiful as I would've liked. Hope a real Director will do one beyond outstanding one day soon with more great actors like Oldman.
