Will there ever be plans to release Dark Universe on DVD or as a download for purchase for those of us who can't get to the Hayden Planetarium? I'd really love to see this show!

It's something you REALLY have to see in PERSON... the 180° dome screen is what makes the show truly unique. Man. It really takes your breath away.

Dark energy: we can measure it but we don’t know what it is. Seems counterintuitive because to measure something suggests you must know a lot about it.

My hypothesis that Dark Matter is not a WIMP, but maybe is a deformation of space-time by which the curvature of space-time ALONE is the cause of the gravitational effect. Gravity is the consequence of the curvature of space-time. It may be possible that the structure of space-time itself could be warped without the presence of mass. Space-time has been shown to react like a fabric by warping, twisting, and propagating independent of mass. These properties have been proven with observations of gravitational lensing, frame dragging, and now gravitational waves. Fabrics can be stretched, pressured, and/or heated to the point of deformation. Such extreme conditions were all present during inflation, so it is plausible that space-time’s elastic nature could have hit its yield point and permanently deformed. Therefore, if gravity is the consequence of the warping of space-time, and fabrics can be permanently deformed, then a deformation could create a gravitational effect independent of mass. Thus, the unidentified dark "matter" that seems to be so elusive to modern science may not be matter at all but merely warped deformities causing gravitational effects. DM could be a microscopic black hole with no mass at the center... Prediction: Spacetime's elastic property hits a yield point, so only that part of geodesic's "stretch marks" would remain after inflation stopped. These steep gravitational wells would not follow the inverse square law.

I am not interested in the dark universe since we know nothing about it and we were created to live on earth even though Neil thinks he would have done a better job of creating the earth and man who lives on it. I read other words and listened to his insults about God. He thinks because God allows deformed babies, sickness and other things He cannot be God nor does He exist. If Neil would have studied physiology and psychology, he would realize how only an intelligent being could have created this fantastic human body. What he does not realize is that there is another side to life not only his scientific view of things. How would he explain the reality of true love, compassion, forgiveness and a union with a higher force than what we could ever imagine. There is a force of good, a spirit of truth and love in this world which can change darkness into light and hopelessness into hope and bliss. He never experienced God in a positive way because he never sought God only using his three dimensional mind not exploring the spiritual aspects of life. There is also a dark force which causes greed, pride and unlimited selfishness. The earth is polluted by the greediness of people who contaminate the water, the air and the food. We eat poison, we drink polluted water and breathe polluted air all because of the people who have not sought God, nor justice nor love and light.

Interested enough to write a lengthy comment on this page. And there is a lot of information on dark energy and dark matter. The main question scientist are trying to answer is what is it. And he was attacking that fascicles of intelligent design. And seriously get off the god rant. If you don't want to learn about scientific discoveries fine, but we don't want to be preached to.

studying physiology and psychology only takes you to the limit of what humans have understood within those areas. It doesn't prove anything. It is a stupid thing to think actually. And if you say not stupid, then it is at least incredibly limited in outlook. We have no idea how basic we are as humans, how limited we are. If you can't accept that, then yes, be convinced that God is waiting to throw his arms around you. But, be aware, it is a stronger position to be aware of how small we are as human beings - in my opinion.
