What's good with KASHF projects is that issues are raised but not sensationalised. Vulgarity/Chhichhorpan nhi hota, chaska nhi hota. Boht khoobsurti se kahani ko portray kertay hain.

DNUTN was a subject that could have easily turned into a story of gore/darkness/aggression on one extreme or OTT melodrama with loads of tears, self sacrificing characters put on the pedestal on the other extreme. Thanks to the entire team involved in it's creation for keeping it real. Inspite of the many big names in the cast, thanks for giving equal justice to all the tracks and not letting stars overpower the story. A thunderous applause to the entire team for such a thoughtful creation.👏👏 🙌🙌

You can see the intention of drama makers through the drama even if you aren't aware of the hard work put into the project (if any) and DNUTN has always moved us viewers without knowing the makers' process and now there's another reason to love it. One of the strongest aspects for me as a viewer was that it wasn't linear storytelling.. I could more easily connect to Sumbul in earlier episodes because I was watching Rakhi's story simultaneously. All right people were chosen for their respective jobs the writer, director, & the actors and it showed.
@sabahatmazhar60563 жыл бұрын

Thank you SO much Amna for this interaction with this amazing lady! I’ve always admired Roshaneh for all that she has done towards the cause of women empowerment and for highlighting children’s rights in Pakistan. Kudos to her and her brainchild Kashf Foundation for being that beacon of hope! There couldn’t have been a better time to highlight these issues and the work being done to resolve them, and DNUTN has played a pivotal role in this. I just wish there had been a larger viewership for this gem of a production! After the recent shocking and disturbing events that have taken place, this was a much needed conversation to bring about some semblance of optimism in our hearts and minds….that there is hope for more awareness and justice for the ‘weaker’ members of our society. ❤️

I had goosebumps throughout this interview. DNUTN will remain very close to my heart for innumerous reasons. The top one- I came very close to getting trafficked at an age of 20. I used to travel by train from my hometown in North India to Mysore via Delhi and Bangalore while in college. My journey was long with a 11-12 hrs lay over in ladies waiting area at the New Delhi Railway Station. I looked petite and definitely not 20 at that time. The incident happened at the platform #1 Cafeteria. While eating at a table, I was joined by a middle age couple who started a conversation with me. I was giving one word answers and had a very strong negative gut feeling about them. All of a sudden they invited me to Meerut which is 2 hour drive from Delhi. By then, every sense in my gut told me to get away as quickly and quietly as I could. I politely refused the offer. I could see the two of them communicate through their eyes. I felt negative vibes. As I got up to leave soon after, the invitation to Meerut was repeated by the man. I shook my head for a No and walked away. But I was extremely scared. I kept checking over my shoulders to make sure no one was following me. And no one was. It would be extremely impossible to forcefully abduct a person from that crowded platform but not the way this couple had approached me. God was definitely watching over me on that day and has continued to do so. It’s important to listen to our gut feelings and become street smart.

I loved the part where It showed women power. Let’s pray and hope that it can serve the purpose especially in terms of raising awareness against women trafficking and child labor. Such stories need to be brought more often as these are some of the typical issues not just in Pakistan but also globally. We want to watch this type of dramas not saas- baho or nand- bhaabi conspiracy stories.

DNUTN is a significant reminder of the fact that good content does not necessarily have to be preachy or non engaging to have impact. The fact that this series was so engaging and enthralling an experience, while subtly carving out a path for enlightenment to reach out in places that have been darkened by the evils of society, is a living example of the important concept of responsible capitalism.
