This was one of my childhood favorites. I remember the next day after watching this movie, I actually thought a meteor will crash on earth and I kept convincing my dad to move out of the house quickly haha I rewatched the movie today and damn, I realize I memorized every single detail of the audio from watching the movie a hundred times as a kid.

Ever since I was a child, I've been obsessed with dinosaurs. I had the entire collection of The Land Before Time, I watched pre recorded dinosaur documentaries for nap time, I collected fossils in the park of little sea creatures, I even had a dinosaur backpack. This movie, though, will always have a special place in my heart. I loved it so much that my mom recorded it on TV, cut out the commercials, and put it on a VHS tape. I watched that tape so many times that I can still remember exactly when the old Disney logo would pop up, indicating the commercial that had been cut out. Kinda makes me sad, thinking about my old childhood obsession... I really should have become paleontologist instead of a nurse I guess 😅💕

I fall in love with this movie ❤️ the story shows that you should never leave a friend behind and you should work together and be a great leader and never give up. I remember watching this over and over again when I was 6 years old and still watch it to this day, and I still can't believe for 20 years they didn't make a part 2. I'm still waiting and I will still be waiting no matter how long, cause if they make a part 2 I would be so dang happy ❤️ movie is 20 years old and we are still waiting. Hehe

Lol you seriously can’t compare the movies that have come out in the last few years by disney, to the films that were made by passionate film makers and animators. This was around the time when the house of mouse actually TRIED to captivate audiences. I heavily doubt any of the movies that have come out in the past few years will hold up as well as these ones have.
@g_y.rtz42010 ай бұрын
@@noobie1890 to be fair, yes this is still a million times better than the literal garbage theyre pumping out these days BUT at the same time 00s disney is quite funny with how lost they are, pixar getting homerun after homerun while eisner is just LOST without katzenberg. And back then, when they release a movie, they go ALL IN with merch and marketing and tie-ins. Video games, mcdonalds toys, actual toys, ads, you name it, it gets a DINOSAUR™ branding. So i do look back at this movie quite fondly sometimes. I know there was a video game, i know we had a Dinosaur™ pillow, the movie was bad yet the merch was omnipresent in my life growing up and i was like, WHY? MOVIE BAD. WHY IS THERE SO MUCH MERCH

@thejoker99982 жыл бұрын
Well, this movie contains more actual live-action elements than say the new Lion King which everyone calls 'Live Action' Even though that movie was created entirely on a computer. so in a way this movie is actually more live-action than the new lion king.
@captureinsidethesound Жыл бұрын
@@thejoker9998 . it can technically be considered live-action because the cinematography (camera angles and movement) where created using VR headsets for the director who could move in the Volume (scene) and/or watch/guide animators as they worked on the project. The scenes where created in Unity and to be honest, very likely Blender for Path Tracing and used models/photogrammetry that utilize PBR textures in which are real photo scans taken on the locations they use as reference. This process is also used in video games to them photo realism. This movie was created back before computers could barely even handle applications like Blender, let alone real-time VR and editing using Path Tracing/Ray Tracing. The insane things is, back then it was MILLIONS of bucks to create but now its pocket change in comparison because even an iPad can out pace the servers farms they used and Blender/Unreal Engine 5 along with the whole Quixel model/texture library are....free. The budget for this movie would have been 1/4 of the price and the visuals would look near realistic had they made it today. The most costly part of CGI is the manual labor having to paint lighting and reflections when using real image sequence backgrounds. Assets that use PBR textures along with Path Tracing/Ray Tracing allowed teams and now the directors focus more on cinematography and story. The sad part is..."Hollywood" will never admit they used Blender due to marketing and license BS. They use Blender the most.
